Chapter 18

CHAPTER 18-

Alas, she had nothing to call him when she got to English. "I give up. You're just Will. The end."

Charlotte wasn't sure if he was trustworthy, but she decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. For the time being, at least. If he burned her, she never had to acknowledge him or His Attractiveness ever again. Though, she probably still look at him. If in her head she calls him His Attractiveness, she's gonna keep looking at him. It's just a given.

The next couple of days were boring. Until next Monday. He looked preoccupied all school day, and then she learned why.

When they were walking home, (it had become a regular thing,) he said what had him looking so worried. "How long have you been using your powers Charlie? Please tell me not very long." "Subconsciously, or on purpose. Because I didn't even know about them until last week. The one time I tried using it was to convince my math teacher that we didn't need homework, and why couldn't-". She was interrupted by his swearing repeatedly. "Can you, control, your powers well?" He asked, looking nervous. "I don't know. We didn't get that math homework if that's what you mean." Charlotte's eyes looked wary. "Why?"

He sighed. "I didn't sign up for this. I thought I would tell you your magic and we could go off to faerie, and both live happily ever after doing whatever. But of course not. I get paired up with a magical prodigy or something. In the words of Neville Longbottom, 'Why is it always me?'"

Now Charlotte was seriously freaked out. "Will, what are you talking about. Will. You're freaking me out." He snapped to attention. "Sorry Charlotte. I was just wondering the best way to break this to you. I decided on blunt.

A. You have much more magic than the average fairy

B. You can control that excess magic. If you've only known about your powers for a week, you should suck at using them. Obviously not the case.

C. That means you're a magical prodigy.

D. That means the queen of faerie wants you dead. Because she has ordered for all of them to have fatal "accidents"

E. I think you're a decent human being/fairy.

F. That means I disagree with the queens so

E. We are probably both wanted dead right now.
