"Agent Romanoff, good work out there," Nick said, extending his hand out for Nat to shake. "Head home to your family. You did good."
Natasha smiled proudly, shaking Nick's hand. "Thank you, sir."
You might be wondering what's going on right now. Let me bring you up to speed. Natasha had been on a 6-month mission in South Africa, leaving behind her wife, Wanda, and their two boys, Billy and Tommy. The worst part was that they were only allowed one phone call a week due to the danger of the mission. But now, that was all behind her. The mission was finally complete, and Natasha was finally free to go home to her loved ones. She missed them so much – the warmth, laughter, joy, and love that came with her family.
As she rushed back to her tent to pack up her belongings, she couldn't help but squeal with excitement.
Within half an hour, the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicopter landed in a safe zone, and Natasha boarded along with other agents. As they flew to S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters in New York, she couldn't wait to see her family.

As she quietly listened through the door, she heard the sound of laughter and her wife's voice coming through. A huge smile spread across her face. She slowly opened the door and set her bags down beside it.
"Are you guys having my favorite meal without me? That's not fair!" Natasha playfully whined, announcing her presence. The room erupted into squeals and footsteps heading in her direction.
"Mama! You're home!" Billy exclaimed, hugging Natasha tightly.
"Yaay, Mama's here!" Tommy yelped excitedly, superspeeding to Natasha and hugging her too.
"Hi, my beautiful boys," Natasha said, ruffling their hair as she hugged them back.
"Mommy made your favorite meal, and she made enough!" Tommy chimed in, pulling Natasha towards the kitchen.
"Oh, and I can show you a cool new trick I learned with my powers!" Billy added.
"Woah, can I at least greet your mother first?" Natasha asked, chuckling.
The twins groaned in unison. "Fine," they said, and ran off, leaving Wanda and Natasha alone. Not wasting a second, Wanda rushed into Natasha's arms, hugging her tight.
"You came back," Wanda murmured against her wife's neck.
"I promised you, didn't I?" Natasha replied, "I always keep my promises."
"I missed you so much," Wanda admitted. Natasha held her tighter.
"I missed you too," Natasha said. "I'm sorry for leaving for so long, but I'm back now and I'm not leaving again."
As they spoke, the sound of glass breaking came from the kitchen.
Tommy's threat echoed through the air: "You're so gonna get it."
Billy immediately responded, his voice rising in defence. "Hey, it wasn't my fault! You were being an idiot and I got distracted!"
The twins' argument was interrupted by Natasha's laughter. "I think we need to go sort that out," she said with a chuckle.
"Do we, though?" Wanda mumbled. Natasha let out a soft chuckle at her wife's words, nodding her head.
With a deep sigh, Wanda gently let go of Natasha. They headed back into the kitchen where the twins descended upon Natasha, eager to show off their new toys and abilities. They excitedly shared stories of their adventures over the past 6 months, and Natasha listened attentively, her fatigue forgotten. She was fascinated by the twins' stories and the joy they derived from sharing them.
Just as things were getting lively, Wanda appeared, her voice firm but gentle. "It's time for bed," she announced. The twins' protests were immediate. "But Mommy!" Billy whined, while Tommy begged, "Please can we stay up just a little bit longer?"
"No, come you two," Wanda said firmly, her mom voice stern. "Get your teeth brushed and ready for bed." The twins groaned as they reluctantly made their way to the bathroom to brush their teeth and get ready for bed.
Soon they were tucked in bed, stories read, and almost half asleep. Billy's voice was barely audible as he asked, "Are you going to leave again, Mama?"
Natasha replied, "No, sweetheart. I'm going to stay right here with your brother and mommy." She kissed his forehead, and Tommy mumbled a sleepy "Promise?" Natasha replied, "I promise, honey."
Just then, Wanda excused herself to answer her phone. As she left the room, Billy asked Natasha another question. "Wait, does that mean Uncle Vision will stop sleeping in your bed now?" Natasha's expression turned puzzled as she raised an eyebrow.
"What do you mean, honey?" she asked, genuinely confused.
Billy continued, "Uncle Vision sometimes sleeps in your bed with mommy. He says it's because she can't sleep and needs someone to watch her."
The silence that followed Billy's question was palpable. A mix of emotions swirled inside Nat, threatening to overwhelm her. Her heart sank, and a lump formed in her throat as tears pricked at the corners of her eyes. She took a deep breath, forcing a fake smile onto her face.
"Sleep, little one. I'll see you tomorrow. Good night," Natasha said, switching off the light in the boys' room.
"Night, mama," the twins replied.
Natasha made her way to their bedroom, where she changed into a loose t-shirt and pants. As she was about to remove her pants, Wanda burst in, excitement radiating from her very being.
"Hey, darling! I have some new things for you that I think you'll love," Wanda exclaimed, opening the box she had brought with her.
"Uh - huh," Nat replied. She didn't intend for it to come out as dry as it did.
Wanda finally looked at Natasha and saw her take off her pants with a new shirt on. She walked over to Nat and hugged her from behind, kissing the back of her neck.
"Please tell me you're not getting ready for bed without me. I was thinking I could treat you to a nice shower – I missed our shower time," Wanda whispered seductively.
Nat's response was curt. "Stop," she gritted out, pulling away from Wanda. Wanda's expression faltered as she furrowed her brows in confusion.
Wanda stepped back, a ping of disappointment flashing across her face. She didn't think much of it, assuming Natasha was just still on edge from her mission. But as they began preparing their bed together, Wanda noticed Natasha's tense expression and grew concerned. She stopped helping, sensing something was wrong.
"Okay, I get that this is your first night back, but this? I can't take this. You walking around here, all angry and not communicating – it won't cut it." Wanda said, trying to keep her voice calm.
Natasha shook her head, still not saying anything. Wanda's concern turned to alarm. "Do you not want to be here? Because you don't have to be..." But before Wanda could finish, Natasha's anger erupted.
"Oh, stop it! Just stop it! I know, okay? Billy told me everything!" Natasha yelled.
Wanda's heart sank as she realized what was happening. "Billy told you what?" she asked, her voice trembling.
Natasha's face twisted in pain. "That you've been fucking Vision, while I was gone. Right here in my bed?" The words felt like a punch to the gut. "How long?"
