a/n: ok so for this chapter it's not really gonna be byler (well kinda in a way) but we're switching the povs so it's not will or mike

Max's Pov:

So far nothing bad has happened. Mike and Will are in the attic waiting just like we are. I have to say, I'm surprised I didn't pick up on the fact that Will definitely likes Mike like A LOT. I'm pretty sure Mike also might like him back, but just buries it under his "love" for El. Which i've known is just complete bullshit for almost a year.

"What are you thinking about?" Lucas asked curiously. I assume he was just as bored as I was, which honestly, who could blame him? This was the most boring thing I've done in awhile.

"Nothing really." I said not wanting to talk about Will's crush or his sexuality without his permission. That's not really something you should do, especially if they're not out to anyone yet. He didn't come out to me but I just picked up on it. I'm surprised our other friends haven't. They must be oblivious as hell.

"Are you sure?" Lucas asked. He probably knew I was lying. He knows me really well.

"I-" I sighed. Lucas is gonna pry it out of me eventually. I'm so sorry Will...

"I was just thinking about uh- Will and Mike" I said quickly, hoping maybe he wouldn't hear me.

"What? Do you like one of them?" Lucas asked. I could tell there was a bit of sadness in his voice.

"What? Ew no- Look Will he's really nice but I would never like him and Mike- I wouldn't even date him if he was the last person on earth besides me!" I said a little loudly. Shit. Hopefully they didn't hear me. Probably not. They probably were too.. busy. I smirked while thinking about it.

"Then.. why are you thinking about them?" Lucas asked raising an eyebrow.

"Well.. I really shouldn't be saying this but I am because you would've pried it out of me eventually.. I'm pretty sure.. Will... likes.. Mike." I said carefully.

"What? Really?" Lucas asked sounding as shocked as ever. I couldn't tell if he was okay with the fact that Will was gay and definitely liked Mike or if he wanted to beat the shit out of him.

"Yeah." That's all I said. I didn't want to say anything else that could potentially mess up everything more than it already it.

"Wow. I mean I'm completely okay with it but- it just surprises me." Lucas said. How was it surprising?? Will has literally, as far as I know NEVER liked a girl or has even been interested in a a girl. Wow, boys are more oblivious than I thought.
