ONE : The Nurse's Peers

It has been a week ever since Hoseok was sent to the hospital by the beautiful and caring nurse.

"You are not okay, sir so I suggest we should see the Doctor together because this is a concern, your eyes and skin are turning yellow."

Sadly, what the nurse suggested that they should see the doctor together did not go as planned. Him and his friend Jimin, who Hoseok thankfully remembers the name, had some errands to run and they needed to leave him.

So yet again Hoseok was left by himself in the hospital to get checked. Damn, he didn't even get to ask for the nurse's name or cellphone number, he will be needing that in order to thank him, or connect with him because fuck, he's so beautiful Hoseok wants him.

Correction, wants him as his personal nurse.

Nothing more.

As he got checked, Dr. Kim Seokjin, their former family doctor said Hoseok has a pancreatic tumor, which was the cause of the excruciating stomach pain and yellowing of his skin days earlier, that's why he needed to undergo in an immediate surgery.

After the surgery, Seokjin was doubtful that the tumor will be gone totally because, according to him, it wasn't a tiny tumor; it had already grown larger and spreading throughout his body, which explains why he was jaundiced all of a sudden.

Hoseok had to get a blood test to see if the spreading was a big risk and if a tumor will grow again in his pancreas since Seokjin is aware that these are the signs Hoseok's parents displayed prior to being diagnosed with the damned cancer.

The result wasn't out yet Hoseok is already predicting that the test will turn out positive. He just wants to get this over with so he can finally count how many days he has left.

No matter how much he tries to take care of himself he knew that one day he will eventually have something like this. This damned disease that is the reason why he's so, so lonely.

But what inspires him to live more is the certain nurse who helped him. At the very least, he wants to get to know him. He knows their meeting doesn't end here.

Good thing he remembered Park Jimin is the nurse's bestfriend, one of the Marketing managers in HOPE Enterprises.

Hoseok was told he shouldn't overwork himself and that he should stay indoors to rest until the jaundice fades away, but he couldn't just let that be, he needed to thank the nurse.

"Jimin, what is it?" Yoongi rolls his eyes as he enters the stated man's office, the other employees' eyes now following him at every step, "Why can't you just tell me your important news over the phone, I have places to be."

"And where will that be!?" Jimin sassily raised a brow at his bestfriend.

"Anywhere other than this freaking office, you know I'm avoiding someone." Yoongi mutters the last sentence, not wanting that someone to hear him.

"Yoongi-hyung!" A cheery voice was heard from across the large room, it was Jimin's work soulmate, Kim Taehyung.

Yoongi sighs, "Speaking of the devil." He whispers before turning around with a forced smile, too shy to face the other.

You see, Yoongi and Taehyung had quite the.. past. Well, not really past since they just stopped last week. They used to be fuck buddies. They used to meet and fuck everyday but everything changed when Taehyung suddenly said 'I love you' to him while they're fucking.

Yoongi thought it was nothing, that the younger was just washed away because of the heat of the moment because even Yoongi himself is lost because of how amazing he feels whenever they have sex, so he just decides to ignore it.

But that's what he thought, after they came back to their senses Taehyung confessed that he wants to pursue him and that he's starting to catch feelings for the older.

Yoongi doesn't want that to happen, right now he wants his focus only on his work and his family. He's not ready for a commited relationship yet.

"You.. You haven't been answering my messages." Taehyung said and that's when Yoongi knew he's going to talk about last week's event again and he seems like he doesn't want to give up.

The shortest among the three fell silent, he looked at Jimin's direction asking him to save him from the other.

"You can talk to Yoongi-hyung later, Tae. Right now the boss wants to meet him." Jimin thankfully interfered, pulling his sweating friend away.

"Boss? Mr. Jung? I thought he's on leave?-"

"Not anymore." Jimin shut him off and with that, pulled Yoongi outside their office.

"What the fuck is that excuse, Jimin." Yoongi rolled his eyes, "Your boss is not even in this building, Taehyung will know I'm intentionally avoiding him and I'm using you for that!"

"Isn't that what you wanted?" Jimin whined, "I didn't make up that freaking excuse stupid. It's true, Mr. Jung wants to talk to you."

Yoongi cocked an eyebrow in curiosity, which served as Jimin's invitation to keep talking.

"I don't know! But he asked for your number, it looks like boss developed an attraction for you." The younger teased, wriggling his eyebrow suggestively at Yoongi.

Another admirer, Yoongi's not even surprised at this point. He is unable to count the number of men and women he has turned down using only his fingers and toes.

"Well then, I'm not gonna talk to him, I don't want to entertain another guy again." He replied, the thought of being in a committed relationship crawling through his skin as if it's the most disgusting shit he's ever heard.

"Oh wow! Your hair is so long it's reaching Japan as we speak!" Jimin joked as he lightly jumped up to avoid stepping on Yoongi's so called "long hair."

Another week has passed yet Seokjin is still not letting Hoseok to go to work, the aforementioned male can only ever think about is getting back to work, which is pretty unusual for him since he's incredibly lazy, just to maybe see the pretty nurse again.

Yes, Jimin gave him the nurse's number, who he found the name was Yoongi; nonetheless, he has been debating whether or not to call her. . What if he doesn't actually have a cancer but it was all just a minor disease?

That would be impossible. Since the probability of him inheriting it is 50%, as what Doctor Kim said.

Here Hoseok stood with an upcoming cancer diagnosis yet all he ever has in mind is the nurse, smiling like a complete idiot as he hears the nurse's voice of concern in his head over and over again.

Hoseok's vision was blurry that time, he even forgot the amount of people who was crowding around him, witnessing him have a jaundice attack but he remembers the nurse's face clearly, his pretty porcelain face.

He wants to meet him.
