When Yoongi realized he had forgotten to bring his uniform, he cursed to himself. He is currently in the guest bathroom at his boss' house, where he always changes into his nurse scrubs in order to save time rather than going back home to change.

Yoongi's whole shift consisted of him following his boss around because he has many meetings to attend to and with Jungkook blowing up his phone endlessly, the latter has been texting and calling his hyung because he's curious as to what they're going to talk about when he comes home

Jungkook's been anticipating his hyung's arrival from work. It has been 12 hours and he's sulking, he really wants to know and he's not really one to be known for his patience.

Yoongi, of course, ignored his brother's calls and left his texts on read because he didn't want to see the disappointment on his brother's face if he ever tells him the truth.

If that's the case, why would Yoongi even tell him they'll talk about it later, then?

Simply because he knows by the time he comes home at 4 AM, Jungkook will be sleeping already, and with that strategy, the male will most likely forget about asking it.

But since Yoongi forgot his uniform, he has no choice but to come home and get it himself.

Yoongi rang the doorbell to his apartment, he's already feeling nervous about what's going to happen. Anytime, he just wants to ditch Jungkook and never come back just so he can never find out about his lies.

The door was opened by the aforementioned, his eyes as curious as a deer's and he immediately engulfed his older brother with a hug upon seeing him

"Sorry if I kept on calling you, I was just worried and curious why you suddenly looked sad when I asked about your work, I started to think someone was hurting you or you're having a hard time. B-But it's okay if you won't tell me anything, but you should know I'm always here for you, hyung." Jungkook started rambling, pouring out all of his overthinking to his older brother.

Yoongi pulled Jungkook in a hug and he could feel his  chest heaving up and down, he could tell he's starting to cry.

"Oh, Jungkook." He cooed, rubbing his baby– yet the taller among them– brother's back in comforting motions.

"No one's hurting hyung, okay? In fact, I was the one who's hurting myself." Yoongi remarked when he pulled away from the hug, releasing a soft chuckle afterwards when he saw Jungkook's crying face.

"Is– Is something wrong? Why are you saying that?" Jungkook asked, his worry heightening.

Should he tell him? Or will he continue on lying just to save himself from embarrassment?

Yoongi's chest hurted and he started to tear up without saying a word. Without muttering a sound, he kept his gaze on his brother as tears continued on flowing down his cheeks.

This is a sensitive topic for Yoongi because he knows how badly he wanted to be called a doctor, that's even his family's dreams for him. So it hurts him bad everytime he gets reminded of not being able to pursue it.

"I.." Yoongi attempted to speak, but all he managed to let out was an incomprehensible series of tears.

Jungkook hummed as an assurance even though he doesn't have any idea what's going on in his brother's mind while he also urged him to continue on talking.

"I didn't graduate, Jungkookie." He finally managed to say. He felt like a complete disappoinment even though it was him who entirely decided he wants to quit studying.

"I'm not a doctor just like what I told you and eomma, I lied, I'm sorry!"

Jungkook's appearance warped into a pout or much rather to describe; a pitying frown as he said, "It's okay, hyung you could've just told us, you know you don't need to lie, right?"
