Seconds, minutes, hours and days came by and Hoseok could feel his energy draining both emotionally and physically.

He can still move around like he wasn't sick, though. But his depression was gobbling him up like an uncontrollable rust in a nail, slowly feasting on every single healthy speck of his emotional state. It couldn't be stopped.

Jungkook's Christmas break started and Hoseok thought it would be better if he will spend it in Daegu, where his mother is.

Jungkook, although hesitant and doesn't want to leave Hoseok and Yoongi, especially Hoseok since he's sick, the latter insisted until he eventually agreed. Of course he wants to be with his mother too, they weren't in a good relationship when he left Daegu.

Maybe Hoseok just told Jungkook to leave because he wanted to be left alone. He came to the point that every little thing suffocates him, even when he's around people.

Or maybe, he just told Jungkook to leave because he wanted to be left alone, with Yoongi. Without him around, Yoongi can be the only one who will take care of him and he loved that thought of that.

Even though they're not together, atleast he's alone with Yoongi.

"Hoseok-ah?" Yoongi called out as soon as he stepped out of his bedroom, his voice echoing through the halls, "I'm leaving, today is my acceleration test."

Professors from Yoongi's university found out that he had years of experience in the medical field as a nurse and he wouldn't be working as a nurse if he didn't pass the RN exam, right? And they also found out that he was halfway to finishing his second semester before he dropped out.

Yoongi was advanced from his classmates. That's why the professors held a meeting to include Yoongi to the selected students that will take an acceleration exam to base their knowledge on what semesters they will skip.

And when Yoongi told that news to Hoseok-back when they were still okay-he was excited, much more expressive with his excitement in contrast of the nurse who was just chill.

Then finally when it was granted that he will be taking the acceleration exam, both him and Hoseok would review day to night. Hoseok would be holding out flash cards (that Yoongi made himself) and ask Yoongi the questions written on it.

And Yoongi would answer every question right.

It serves as a core memory for the older. It saddens him that him and Hoseok didn't get to practice like that when the exam day were approaching.

But he's not gonna let that stop him from acing the exams.

"Hoseok?" Yoongi tried calling for his boss' name for the umpteenth time today, wondering why he wouldn't answer again.

The last time he didn't answer, something bad happened and that made Yoongi jump into panic mode immediately.

"Shit." Yoongi muttered under his breath when he barged in Hoseok's bedroom but he wasn't there.

This can't be happening, not when Yoongi's about to take the exam of his life. With panic bubbling in his gut, he ran down the stairs so fast, making his way down to the basement where Hoseok's dance studio is.

The light wasn't turned on. The room was purely pitch black and when he pressed the switch, he was met with no one. No signs of Hoseok.

"The veranda, Yoongi."

Yoongi told himself, as if trying to calm himself from panicking just because Hoseok left his sight.

He ran back up again but no, Hoseok is not at the veranda at all.
