POV Nathan
"I'm sorry." Jeongguk is still giving me his death glare. What do I do now? I'm screwed. "I shouldn't have told her, but at the same time I thought it's better. Listen," I took a hard breath. "I didn't want her to fall for you–but, oh Jeongguk, that was too late." It's four AM. Jeongguk came through the window, didn't wake me up but waited for me to sense him here and gave me a frightening while he was staring at my sleeping face. He didn't say anything but only 'did you tell her?' And I knew what he meant. "Please, say something!"

"I didn't want her to know about it. She thinks I'm a kind person. She only thinks I do good job but in fact I'm an assassin, a killer, Nathan. I get ordered who to kill." I don't say anything. "If... the order were to kill you... I would." I gulped. I was expecting something like this. But low-key wanted him to not do that if he ever got ordered to.

"Ha, knew it."

"And if I got ordered to..." he murmured. His eyes got blank for a second.

"Wait...what do you think you are getting at?" I adjust my seat, narrowing at him.

"Nathan, what if I got ordered to kill Angelina?" He gives me a look he have never used on me before.

"Don't you dare, bastard!" I grab his throat, placing his forehead on mine forcibly. "I will kill you. I will kill you even if I was dead." His face wasn't it.

"Please do." I didn't say anything. I let go of him once I saw his tears kicking out. "I will never hurt Angelina, your precious daughter whom is my precious, too." We fell silence for a long time. He has feelings for her.
He loves her.

"You love her." I finally let the words out. He stares at me. The look was sad but confused too.

"Perhaps. I would die for her." I sigh.

"I never wanted any of this to go wrong... but I really don't want her to fall any harder for you. Maybe she is hurt now and I can't do shit, Jeongguk!" I shout. He looks away. Pressing on his lips.

"When I took her home, she was about to cry. I'm sorry I couldn't take her in my embrace and tell her how badly I don't wanna leave her like that." Wait a minute... home?

"What do you mean home? Then who took her to the hospital? She couldn't possibly have gone alone in the middle of the night, Jeongguk."

"Did she tell you that?" He questioned. I shook my head.

"I called several times, she didn't answer. So I called the hospital and they said she is sleeping in Lenda's room."

"False." He stands up rabidly, taking his black leather jacket on and heads for the window.

"Wait!" He was faster. Shit! I got my keys and run to the car while calling Henry. Be safe, dear. Please. I couldn't shake the past but it forced into me.

"I love you." She showers me with her small, soft kisses over my face.

"I love you, too." I smile for her, she smiles back happily.

"Always keep my words, Nathan. Promise me that, love." I hate her serious face whenever she gives it to me. It makes me feel uneasy.

"Of course, dear. I will protect Angelina no matter what happens. And make sure she lives best life."

Did Angelina live her best life? Not yet? I feel guilty not keeping the promise as it was. Maybe I should have listened to her.
I'm sorry love.
I'm sorry I didn't protect you.
Maybe things would have been different if you were alive.
I feel my chest is heavy. I'm breathing hard. I'm scared. I'm scared of losing my daughter.
