Jeongguk

The scene of her under the pouring rain made me recall Nathan's words.

"Jeon, if Angela gets harmed I will not hesitate to take you to jail or even worse as like explore your secrets and get yourself killed."

I would kill him without thinking if he even tries to say my secret. I mean; he is more than a cop. An agent. And a guy like him made a deal with someone like me who is an a–

" Jeongguk!" Lendas yell rang into my ears. " Why are you here blankly?! Go get changed before getting sick. Who needs to take care of Angie? Huh? " I quickly got up to the restroom to get changed.

In the morning I made myself a cup of dark coffee and sat beside the window, watching the sun rise while drinking calmly. Not even two minutes later, I heard the sound of the vacuum cleaner upstairs. Just when I was about to have time with myself. I glared up at the girl. She was wearing a red short that landed on her knees with black tight t-shirt, her hair was a messy bun. Her forehead is already sweating.

"seriously? Since when do you clean in the early morning?" I scoffed when she ignored me. She starts with cleaning the dust off after being done with the vacuum cleaner. Half an hour later she comes and sits beside me with a glass of water, drinking it slowly. Lenda comes downstairs and starts to clean. Angelina gets up and starts with the cleaning, too. Where is the good morning and kisses gone to? Did they fight or something? I frown my eyebrows at how silent it was. I was like a wall, watching her every movement. She is a good cleaner and fast. Her face was fresh but not like the usual. It is more like; depression, frowning. Night time came and the house was all clean and more freshly. She literally cleaned the whole house. She must be dead tired by now. Today was the weirdest day. She didn't utter any words.

Angelina

Finally! I did the whole house. My chest is so fresh and my mind too.

Tomorrow is the day.

I smiled brightly, until my cheeks hurt. Jeongguk was silent the whole day just like me. After finishing bathing I walk downstairs while drying my hair with the towel. I sat down in front of Jeongguk and ready to eat.

"when I clean I don't speak." I explained. He stares at me nodding.

"I see." was all he said.

I slide into the thick blanket. And I fell to sleep right away.

Walking on the long road full of flowers. I saw a woman with white dress from afar, I tried to get closer and closer to see her clear face. She was crying yet smiling with much brightness. "see you soon." was what she said. I was wide awake, weeping. Mom. She came again to my dreams. I silently cried. My tears overflowed down my ears. I got up to get some water. My eyes are still puffy red and nose. I turn the lights on, seeing Jeongguk sleeping under the blankets. I turned to get water and drink it quickly. I gasped for some air.

"you still awake?" I flinched, felt my heart drop. "pardon me for scaring you again." Jeongguk apologized behind me. Not wanted him to see my face I moved my hair over my face and said,

"sorry to wake you up. I needed water. Excuse me." I wanted to go past him when he grabbed my arm.

"your tone seems off. Did you cry?" After this, he took me to the sofa. I didn't say anything and followed him. "this is part of my work I'm doing now. I have to know when you are okay and when you are not. Now, tell me." he stated sitting on the sofa beside me on my right side. We were close enough.

"As you see, I have cleaned the house today because… Tomorrow is my mother's birthday as mine too. We have the same birth. I wanted everything to be cleaned up and fresh. I don't want to be a depression person on our birthday…Not anymore." my gaze was on the black TV. I could feel his nod across my eye at every word I said. I wasn't thinking why I told him that. I nearly came to a point where I was about to open up.
