His eyes were so dark and once I look at them, I feel like I'm inside of them. So lost, scared, not liking it. But, at the same time I do. Slowly my eyes are closing while I'm telling them not to. And, once I finally managed to open them up, he was gone.
"Angelina?" I heard someone weakly calling for me. "Angie." shutting my eyes open. The first thing I saw was father is awake. I got up and ran to his side.
"Dad! Are you alright?" I kissed his hand and he smiled.
"I'm fineee. Don't worry." he says, all smiling from ear to ear.
"but I did. You worried me to hell, dad!" he laughs.
"I'm sorry, dear. Work was a bit too much for me to handle. I think resting is not so bad." he jokes. I roll my eyes.
"Jeongguk was here." I said. The smile was gone. He frowned.
"really?" I nod.
"only for a while and left." I say looking down.
"I see." was all he said.
The doctor told me that my father had to stay for some more days to get more rest. I would always go and visit him with foods that granny made. I guess this is a small fate so we could have our time. I was happy to be with him. He would joke and we would laugh. Walking excitedly and smiling to each person that walks past me through the hallway. Can't wait to let him guess the food again. Opening the door, discovering an empty bed. What the hell? Where could he be at?
"dad?" I call out. No response. I felt uneasy and headed outside to catch a nurse. "have you seen a patient who left that room?" I asked, pointing at the room number.
"unfortunately no. But I will ask for you. Wait for me." I nodded and sat at the seat beside my father's room door. Below the number, 55. I breath out worries. I stare at the bag full of food. You broke our game. I sigh again, resting my head on the wall. I see the woman coming towards me with an old lady.
"so?" I am nervous hearing her next words.
"You are looking for Nathan Min, right?" the lady asks. I nod. "he left with someone early in the morning." someone? Could it be Jeongguk?
"any idea who the person is?"
"no, unfortunate." she says and I nod thanking her. With that I leave from there. Could it be his partner from work? Ambling while looking down to get to my apartment. Hearing noises. I look to see who it could be.
"Taehyung?" he stops making sounds on the door and doesn't respond. His back was facing me. "you are back here." I say slowly. I move beside him and immediately close my nose as I step away again. "oh, my God! What is that smell, Taehyung?!" he turned around and shouted.
"you can smell that?! Ah, shit!"
"What happened to you?" I ask, making a long distance. He gets a bit closer.
"I fell into a trash can." he says. I slide my head to the side with a confusing look. "a big one."
"how?"
"looong story. No need to hear that–"
"oh, I like long stories." he stares at me.
"say that again?"
"I think you heard it well." I say leaving a small laugh.
"it's just, you remind me of someone." he says. "someone who I haven't seen in a long time and probably won't ever see." I could swear on my dad I saw his eyes sadden.
