Father's eyes were exactly on mine. I gulped before speaking.
"because it is the right choice, " I said still calm. "for me it was. As you know, she is a dearly person to me. Hope you understand."
"Jeongguk were already searching where she was. It is not your job to do so." he said and my blood starting to play around.
"but who found her first? Me. He didn't do anything." I was trying not to stand out of frustration.
"Angelina! Talk properly!"
"what? I'm?!" I stood up broke the promise I did to myself about staying calm as possible.
"sit back down, Angelina!"
"don't tell me what to do!" I should had only listen to him and sat down. But I couldn't. "I can't believe it! You are too much!"
"Angelina!"
"is that all you can say?! Only my name? Say something, stop saying the same words over and over again! I'm sick of them!" he stands up on his feet and starts to yell back. What did I say? We always argue while standing not sitting.
"Angelina, The one who is too much is you! Why can't you just go on like I had always told you?! Why can't you be more likely a nice daughter to her only one father?!" hah! Nice daughter to her only one father?
"I'm being! It's your eyes that are blind by it! It's you who always sees something horrible in me! It's not my fault!" father shakes his head and changed the topic to even worse.
"I just can't believe you tried to sneak out only to save Lenda! Do you know how dangerous that is?!"
"I had enough of this! " I screamed and ran out of the room by father followimg me.
"but I haven't! You are grounded!" At this moment, I hate myself for hating him at that point.
"what?" I turned around to face him. I see Jeongguk coming in and Seokjin behind him with his worried expression. "Since when wasn't I grounded?" he grabbed his forehead, stressed.
"just don't do that again. That's my job to do."
"she was the one who raised me! She was the one she cried for me, feed me, and would stay all night only to watch over when I had high fever! She gave me the most amazing smile when I was in the bad mood, because she knows my weaknesses! And it was her who raised me when you left! When mom wasn't there anymore!" I felt my tears were fighting to get out. But I didn't let them. Father's eyes were huge and was staring at me. I regret my next words. "what I figured was that you are furious and feeling ugly, because I had the courage to save her when you couldn't save mom." and with that, for the first time he lays a hand on my cheek. I lost my balance due to shock and fell on the floor with my hand on my right cheek. I was staring at his shoes. Not daring to look at his eyes. No, don't hate him. It was me who hurt him. He hesitate to leave. Jeongguk ran to me, moving my hand to probably see a market light red there as I felt the heat burning there. Seokjin were shocked. How embarrassing. He came down on our level and asked with worries all over,
"are you okay?" am I? I let the tears broke out and they keeps swimming down on my burning cheek. Jeongguk pulls my head over to his chest and stroke me.
I couldn't sleep, I took the pillow and blanket with me to find where dad is. I got to the living room where I see Jin sleeping soundly. This couch seems uncomfortable for him. Poor you, Jin. I got to fathers office to expect him to be here but no. I see Jeongguk sleeping on the mattress. I guess he is far away from here. I took another mattress and place it beside him and lay there.
