Chapter 7

Amelia's POV

Today is my birthday. To say the least I'm excited. Josh wasn't here when I woke up this morning for some reason. I asked Ronnie and he didn't know either. I had to get ready for work even though it was my birthday. I argued with Hogan but he said I didn't get enough hours last week.

I put on my "Lazy Day" sweater and dark blue skinny jeans. I didn't even bother putting on any make up. Slipping on my Vans and grabbing my bag I went out into the living room.

"Ronnie I'm leaving" I yelled

"I'll drive you birthday girl since Josh took the car" he said grabbing my hand

"I thought you didn't know where he was" I said like a detective

"I didn't say I knew where he went I just know he took the car dumb ass" he joked

"Fuck off Carson" I laughed

"Fine fine" he raised his hands in mock defeat

He drove me to Hot Topic. We said bye and I trudged in through the back door.

"Happy Birthday Ahme" All my co-workers yelled jumping out of t-shirt racks.

"Ahg" I screamed

"Leo I think you killed her" Hogan joked

"Thanks guys" I said hugging Hogan

"It was Leo's idea to scare you" Hogan laughed

"Fuckin' Leo" I joked

"I thought we had something special Jones" Leo joked

"Oh we do Lee-Low" I said poking his cheek.

"We got you presents" Danny my co-worker squealed

"You guys didn't have to" I smiled

"Dude ya we did" Leo laughed throwing his arm across my shoulders.

I sat up on the counter and Danny handed me a present. This one was from Leo. I took the tissue paper out and smiled. It was a photo album with pictures of the two of us in it. There were movie quotes that went along with the photos and stickers.

"Lee-Low aw" I said hugging him " I love it"

"I'm glad I was kind of nervous" he shrugged

"Thanks" I smiled

I opened up my present from Hogan. It was a Set It Off shirt, a copy of Take Off Your Pants and Jacket by Blink-182 and a bracelet.

Danny had gotten me a gift card to A.C Moore and Sarah had gotten me a Visa gift card since I didn't know her that well.

"Thank you guys so much" I said pulling them into a group hug.

We opened up and began working. Leo had insisted that I wear a hot that looked like a birthday cake so everyone kept saying Happy Birthday to me.

Ronnie came to pick me up when my shift was over. We got home and Josh still wasn't there. Ronnie said that Josh had made reservations at a restaurant I had never heard of.

I decided to put on my high waisted black skinny jeans instead and a red dress shirt. I grabbed my chains purse and my Polaroid.

"You look cute" Ronnie said booping my nose.

"Thanks" I smiled

"Are you ready birthday girl" he smiled

"I guess I really wish Josh was here I haven't seen him all day" I sighed
