"M-my baby is growing up!" My mother exclaimed rushing over to Ludus. "Oh you're pretty, I am so glad you are the first girlfriend my son-" she was cut off by Ludus laughing in a fit of hysterics.
My face at the moment was a deeper red than Ludus's hair. "Mom, I would never, and I mean NEVER date her," I stated "Erm- no offense Ludus." I added quickly.
I doubt she would notice considering she was still dying on my floor, panting and gasping like a fish freshly thrown on a fishing deck.
I rolled my eyes at her childishness and glanced back at my mother, who had a hint of disappointment in her gray eyes. "Nathan, when are you going to bring a girl home eh?" she asked turning the attention on my brother who was still standing in the middle of the room.
Nathan gulped, searching for some sort of answer to keep himself from having to come out at this oh-so-awkward moment. He finally chose to go with humor, "Frankly dear, I don't give a damn." he replied before running down the stairs our mom following close behind yelling things like, 'Nathan We DO NOT curse in this house'.
I sighed at the sight.
"Holy shit!" exclaimed at Ludus facing straight at me as I turned around suddenly remembering she was here.
"I'm bored, movie?" she asked. I simply nodded and gestured for her to follow me downstairs.
**
"EDWARD NOOOOO!" Ludus screamed at the screen at the top of her lungs.
That's it, I've had enough.
I picked up the remote control lying lazily on a couch cushion. "Why do you like this cliché crap so damned much?" I questioned.
she shrugged.
"Its dumb,"
"How so?"
"It gives you false expectations,"
"You mean hope?"
"Hope can be the most crushing thing in the world"
"Yeah, true, but it could also be the only thing that keeps you going"
"That Is insanity" I replied
"Who doesn't like a bit of crazy?" She said after a moment, clicking the play button.
