Jannet sat upon my futon, her light brown hair tied into a messy ponytail, a pencil set atop her ear. " What if we do a survey on...?" she wondered aloud. " How about a project on, wether or not drugs should be legal for medial treatment?" I wondered.
"C'mon Mason think bigger!"
I rolled my eyes "Maybe we should take a break from brain storming" I suggested.
My sketchbook sat in My lap,a sketch of Jannet smiling, hands in the shape of a heart.
Jannet rolled off the futon and ran to the living room. By the time I'd caught up to her she'd already made herself comfortable ,scrolling through Netflix.
I sat next to her and she snuggled her head into my chest slightly. "What do you think about Jalisha?" she asked randomly, twirling the remote in her hands.
I considered my answer for a minute. "She's pretty," I said after a moments silence.
"You think she is pretty?" Janett snorted " I've seen better looking cows," she said jokingly, letting out a shaky sigh.
"You sound like a jealous ex," I replied with a chuckle
" YOU KNOW WHAT MAYBE I AM!"
''wha-"
"AND MAYBE IF YOU THINK JALISHA IS SO FU**ING BEAUTIFUL YOUSHOULD WORK WITH HER" Jannet yelled sitting up.
She gathered her bookbag and phone from my room and stormed out my front door. For some reason I was sad that she'd gone, even if she was acting crazy.
I slumped upstairs, the weird saddness getting heavier by the moment.
I sat on My desk chair.
Across the room I spotted My sketchbook and pencil scattered over the floor.
I sighed at the wide smiling Jannet drawing before flopping to the bed in a heap of strange feelings and exaustion.
A/N: Yes I know short chapter but its moving into the storyline I want it in so the filler chapters are probably the most helpful right now. But, I have bad news thismaybe the last time I can update in a while, with final exams coming next week and all the homework I don't think updating every day would be good for mymind right now, I will try updatingon weekends but no promises, bai loves -AspMay
