I let out a long sigh as I gazed out over the vast, green jungle that stretched endlessly before us. The thick foliage was disorienting, and I couldn't help but feel the weight of the uncertainty pressing down on me. I hope Lloyd is okay.

Jay's voice broke through my thoughts, pulling me back to reality. "Hey, Y/n, can you come over here and hold this up for me?"

"Yeah, sure," I replied, walking over to where Jay was kneeling next to the thruster panel. I crouched beside him, steadying the panel so he could work on the inner components without it falling.

Cole's voice floated over from behind us, lighthearted despite the tension. "What do you think the baby's name is? You think he looks like a Cole Jr.?"

I rolled my eyes, a smile tugging at the corners of my mouth. "I think you should put the baby down and help us out," Jay shot back dryly. He let out a frustrated sigh before glancing at the damaged panel again. "Okay, Zane, give it another try."

"Zane? Come in, Zane." Kai called out, his voice strained as he continued working on a separate piece of machinery.

"Oh, great. Now the radios aren't working," I muttered, shaking my head as I carefully held the panel in place.

Then, a low growl echoed through the jungle, a deep, guttural sound that sent a chill down my spine. The air around us seemed to thicken with tension.

"What do you think that was?" Cole asked, his voice quiet but edged with unease.

"Probably just some cute little critter?" Kai said with forced optimism, not looking up from his work.

"Or a big critter. A great big vicious critter with lots of teeth and claws and pinchers," Jay said in a panicked whisper, his eyes darting around nervously.

"You can't tell all that from how it sounds," Cole dismissed, trying to hide the slight tremor in his voice.

"Oh, yeah? If you listen real carefully..." Jay trailed off, his eyes wide, clearly still hearing that eerie growl echoing through the trees.

I set the panel down gently, assuming Jay was done tinkering with it for now. "You guys say something?" Zane's voice suddenly cut through the growing tension.

"Any luck reaching Lloyd?" I asked, trying to keep my voice calm, though my worry for him was hard to hide.

"P.I.X.A.L. and I have only been able to repair the shortwave comlink. It appears we won't be able to find them until we get the Bounty over these trees. Ready to test the thrusters?" Zane asked, a sense of determination in his tone. We all backed away from the thruster panel, giving Zane room to do his thing.

"Let's give it a go," Cole said, stepping back with a hopeful grin.

"Fire it up," Kai added, his voice tight with anticipation.

"Go for it," I chimed in, crossing my fingers that the thrusters would fire up and give us the lift we desperately needed.

"Go ahead," Jay nodded, his eyes still scanning the jungle for signs of movement.

Zane nodded back and walked inside the Bounty, a few moments of silence hanging heavily in the air before the hum of the thrusters roared to life. The Bounty's engines surged as the ship's thrusters powered up, and we all erupted in cheers.
