"Hey buddy, where is mommy?" Adrien asked. "She's upstairs." Hugo huffed. "Whats wrong." He asked. "You don't love me anymore... you love sissy..." Hugo sniffled. "Hugo that's not true-"
"Is too..." he whispered. "Son I love you, more than anything... well I love your mom just the same and Im sorry I made you feel like this, its just... Lila said she was my daughter and I felt bad I wasn't there for her, so I wanted to make it up to her, I'm sorry son. I'll go talk to mom and then I'll make it up to you okay.
Hugo nodded and his dad walked away. "Mari, can we talk." Adrien asked. She was standing by the window, staring out into the backyard, her back facing him. "Did you talk to Hugo yet?" She asked not looking at him. "Yes. Now can we talk about us?" He asked walking to her.
He fell speechless, seeing the ultrasound in her hand.
"You know, I would have had an easy birth, she was so small, smaller then Hugo, Hugo had a lot of cheeks, you might not even know, or even remember, I-I wanted our daughter's birth to be different, you by my side, holding my hand, just as excited as me, and Hugo, at home, waiting patiently...
But that's not gonna happen. She put the photo down on the table and sat on the bed.
"Mari I didn't mean to make you feel this way-" "But it happened, Chat, the moment you invited Lila into the house you pulled away from us.''
''I-I didn't mean to. I just wanted to spend time with Leah-'' ''You don't even know if she's your daughter!'' she yelled. ''Mari-''
''Adrien you and I both know that Lila isn't the mom type, and there's no way she could have raised a daughter for all these years. You really want a daughter that bad?!'' she asked. ''Yes but-'' ''And what do you think I want?! I have waited so long for us to have a daughter and now she's gone and.. you are gone too...''
''Marinette come on, I just wanted to be with her-'' ''I can't lose both of you!'' she yelled sobbing.
''You aren't losing me, I'm right here,'' he said taking her hand.
''B-But you arent here, y-you don't even cuddle me anymore, Hugo and I needed you, he's still hurting. I'm still hurting a-and you pushed us away. F-For Lila?! She caused this, our child is gone because of her, h-how could you?!'' she cried pulling away, she hugged her stomach and cried.
''Baby, I'm sorry. Please forgive me. I'm sorry, I should have never invited Lila over, I just... I didn't want another child to grow up with me, I already messed up with Hugo, I didn't want a repeat. But, what can I do, I'll do anything Baby, just name it.'' he said cupping her cheeks.
''I-I want the DNA test a-and Lila has to go, I-I can't cope with her around,'' Marinette said taking his hand. ''Okay, it's done, promise, can you please come home now, I need you, the both of you.''
''Yes, under one condition.'' she cupped his cheeks and pulled him down toward her, and whispered something in his ear.
''I can work with that, I'll go get Hugo, okay.'' she nodded and smiled.
-Okay, this was the last argument between Marinette and Adrien. (Pawmise)
