Joseph's POV
We had lunch at our regular restaurant. Sita filled the car with junk food.
"I don't eat junk, Joseph eat less" Ben said
"They are for me. I can share little but don't expect more" she said seriously
"What? You eat that much junk?" He asked in shock
"No comments on my food" she warned
On the way Ben stopped for shopping.
"She is crazy about white, tried almost everything in white" Ben commented
After two hours, she finalized lot of dresses. Seeing Sita, I feel it's safe to take my wife for shopping. I would never go with Sita.
Ben tried to pay but she refused bluntly
"I can pay for my things, I don't need your money"
"You don't have dresses because of me, it's my responsibility" He tried to reason
"It doesn't matter, I would have bought even if I had dresses. Anyway I don't have to worry about money, I got job. This Santhu never listen to me, he already transferred" she said grudgingly
"You take from him, why do you refuse me?" I asked angrily
He is jealous of Santhosh? Why not! It's clear that he likes her, maybe more
"Excuse me? He is my friend, who are you to me? Anyway he is not giving for free, it's my payment for my new project, I signed the contract" she said
I like Sita. Most girls would be be excited if some guy like Ben buy dresses for them
"You are my fiancé, we need to keep up the charade, everyone knows me. Imagine if the news leaked that I'm not paying for my fiancé's dresses. My reputation will be at stake.
Ask Joseph if you want" he said. Smart guy
"He is right Sita" i corroborated. It's not entirely lie though
Ben paid
"You transferred money?" Ben asked
"For outside world you paid for my dresses. I will never accept anything for free especially from strangers" she smiled
It's not shocking for me knowing her computer skills.
"I will make sure you take from me with your will" he said
She laughed
"Don't daydream"
"Are you challenging me? I'm Benjamin Kurien, I never lost" he said
These Kuriens have ego as huge as Mt. Everest
"I'm Sita Anandrajan, no one can make me do things against my will" she didn't back
Ben needs someone like her
"I will never do anything against your will Sita... you will accept willingly" he said
"If that day comes, I will change my name" she said confidently
"Deal, I will change your name to Sita Benjamin Kurien" He said
I know he wants that, he couldn't hide
"Ok. What if you loose..." she asked
She said ok? Didnt she realize what he said?
"I never loose Sita Anandrajan, soon to be Sita Benjamin Kurien" he said closing gap between them
"There should be first time for everything. I never lost Mister. You know why! Sita is never wrong" she said
"It's not always about right or wrong Sita. You didn't meet me before. If I loose, I will give you anything you want" he said
People are taking pictures of them and these two are in their own world.
"Let's go, you can continue in the car" I said
They came out of trance blushing realizing their position and surroundings
Sita gave one shopping bag to Ben
"I used your cousin's pajamas, I tried to get something as close as that. I hope she likes it" she said
"Give it to Joseph. It's his wife's" he said
She gave it to me
"Sorry Joseph, I borrowed your wife's pajamas last night. They are great though. When he gave me, I thought he is weird, wears girls dresses in secret" she said
"Sita" Ben shouted in frustration
I laughed
"Come on, I said sorry too" she said
"You thought my friend is weird, also thought he is womanizer, then gay... i never met anyone who have these kind of images about Ben. Usually girls drool over him" I said
"He has great body and looks but looks can be deceiving..." she said
"You think I look handsome" Ben asked smiling
"You are not bad" she said blushing, looking down
We got into car, I took the steering
"How much long" she asked
"1 and half hours, more or less depending on traffic" Ben said
"Can you stop by pharmacy?" She asked
"What's wrong Sita" he asked worriedly
"I have bad headache, jet log"
"Why didn't you tell before" he scolded
"It was mild, it's getting worse. I will be fine after taking Tylenol" she said
"We get paracetamol here, same as Tylenol" he said
He got medicine from pharmacy along with coffee
She took tablet
"I have zero tolerance to caffeine" she refused coffee
"Close your eyes and sleep Sita" he said
She closed her eyes but I could see her struggling to sleep. I guess her headache is bad. I could see worry on Ben's face
After half an hour she slept
"Do you love Sita?" I asked
"What? No?" He denied
"Come on Ben, I know you since childhood"
"She is crazy and makes me crazy. She is interesting, unique, never saw anyone like her but love? I can't say" he said
"Really? You are planning to make her Sita Benjamin Kurien..."
He looked at me confused, then realization hit him
"I didn't mean it that way" he blushed
"Deny as much as you want, you know the truth. She is not a girl who falls for your looks or wealth or power so be careful. She wouldn't think twice to disappear from your life if you bring your Kurien ego in between you both" I warned him
