How can I trust you?

Sita's POV

Dad left from there fuming. Mom hugged me

"Are you pregnant?" She asked. Mom knows, what should I do

"It's ok, don't take stress. I will get food for you" she kissed my forehead and left

Mom fed me rice... it felt good initially, then I felt nauseated, rushed to restroom. Mom came and helped me. She was worried, gave me lemon juice, I felt better. I laid down on her lap

"Mom, are you not angry with me?" I asked

She smiled carassing my hair "there are no boundaries in love"

"It's not Ben's fault..." I tried to tell her everything. I'm scared she would misunderstand Ben. She laughed

"You don't have to explain Sita. I also know the Kurians better, he would never give up on you. He loves you so much. Don't worry he will make things right soon. Take rest" 

"How do you know I'm pregnant?" I asked

"Your symptoms, you didn't get your periods, your mood swings, dizziness, weird cravings... I saw you throwing up sometimes... I remembered the time Benju's mom was pregnant seeing you... she couldn't stand the smell of roses or riped mangoes and she used to eat white rice. I didn't have the courage to ask you about pregnancy, I was hoping you are not pregnant but I made sure you eat healthy food and give you multivitamins. Yesterday Benju slipped that  you both were intimate, I was almost sure then. My doubts were confirmed today, When your dad pushed you, you held your stomach protectively and Benju too.

 "Why didn't you oppose this marriage mom? Santhosh is going to get hurt" I asked 

"Anand blackmailed me too... I tried to speak to Hari and Grishma to postpone but your dad failed all my attempts. I love Santhosh dearly. I know you can't give him happiness. I even tried to talk to Santhosh, nothing worked" mom said guiltily 

"When did you learn?" Mom asked

"I had doubt yesterday and went to doctor for test. Results came today. Ben knew yesterday itself, the doctor is his aunt...

Mom, I'm scared of dad's reaction. He will be disappointed in me. I love dad so much mom, I can bear his anger but can't see hatred in his eyes. What if he hates me? I got pregnant with Ben's baby. I love Ben but I will never go against dad mom.."

"Shh! Don't take stress. Everything will be fine. Anand loves you too, you are his life. He will never do anything that hurt you. His hatred for my family is not bigger than his love for you. Take rest"

"Mom, Doctor gave appointment this evening at 6..."

"I will take you. Does Benju know"

I nodded

"Don't worry he will be there too"

I woke up around 4:30pm. Dad is not home. Mom took me to hospital after I ate grilled cheese sandwiches 🥪. Ben was waiting outside the hospital. He was scared seeing  mom

"Mom knows" I said

"Atha..."he stammered

"It's ok Benju, let's go inside"

Doctor hugged mom. They both were emotional "I'm so happy to see you after long time. Thanks to these two kids. Didn't know she is my daughter in law yesterday"

"How are you feeling Sita? I see things are ok between you both" she hugged me

"Ready for ultrasound?" She asked. I nodded nervously. She asked me to change into hospital gown and lay on bed. She asked me to put legs on stirrups. Gynecology check ups are so embarrassing, I never had before. I'm scared too. Mom and Ben stood on either side of me holding my hands. She placed some wand on my lower abdomen, it was so cold. She pressed it and showed baby on monitor. I looked at the monitor, that's my baby! Head is big, tiny limbs, i couldn't hold tears looking at my little one, he is mine and Ben's, our love, our flesh and blood. I looked at Ben, he is emotional too, kissed my forehead
