I feel something heavy on me... I opened my eyes to see beautiful face laying on my chest... I felt shy realizing our position. Sita is laying next to me with her head on my chest, hand wrapped around my waist and leg over mine. I would love to watch her reaction when she wake up.
I wanted to go back to my room, didn't know when I slept
Sita stirred in her sleep, guess it's time for the beauty to wake up... it's going to be fun.
"Good morning" I wished
"Ace, you speak?" She murmured
I'm jealous of this Ace(her teddy bear). I'm going to lock him in store room or attic forever. Slowly she opened her eyes. I screamed in low voice. She was startled and sat up on bed
"What happened last night? What did you do to me?" I said dramatically
She laughed
"That should be my line" she said
"Why should girls get to do drama all the time? You trapped me in your bed, didn't let me go" I said
"No, I didn't" she blushed
"I was kidding Sita, I wanted to go after you slept, didn't know when I slept. It feels so good waking up with you in my arms"
She blushed more
"Do you agree I'm better than Ace for snuggling"
"Shameless" she threw pillow at me
"Get out now" she said
I went to my room. It's 10:30 already. How did I sleep till this time? I did morning chores and went down.
Joseph was sitting with Nithya and mom talking about engagement arrangements. They gave me weird looks.
"Have breakfast" mom said
"I will wait for Sita" i said
"Ben..." mom said
I looked at her, waited for her to talk but she looked at Nithya... Nithya looked at Joseph.
What's wrong with them?
"Is there any problem mom? Please don't tell engagement is today, dad already pre poned" I said
"We should arrange your marriage directly" Joseph said with teasing look
Mom and Nithya laughed.
"No" I shouted
"I thought you would jump with excitement" mom said
"You are not serious about getting both of us married immediately right" i asked in fear
"If you behave like this, I have to do that" mom said seriously
"What did I do mom? Those pictures were taken in wrong angle... we didn't do anything..."
"Do you think I'm blind? You are in India, spare us from heart attack. Do you realize the gossips people could spread" mom scolded
She witnessed our kissing, then these pictures... what do I tell her
Sita came. I thanked her in my heart. She saved me from mom's wrath. She is looking like an angel in white.

She wished everyone good morning
"Both of you have breakfast, it's almost noon... you must be hungry" mom said
"You look beautiful" I complimented
"You don't look bad" she said
"You have dimples" she almost shouted
"Didn't notice because of your beard and it's prominent when you blush. Why are you hiding beautiful dimples with beard" she said
"You think I'm handsome"
"No... just dimples" she whispered blushing
"Both of you finish breakfast, we have lot of work to do" achchamma said sitting with us
"I'm not old fashioned, I understand this generation kids mindset is different and Sita is from America and you too studied there but... " she hesitated
"Why is everyone reminding me that I'm in India... yesterday dad, today mom and you... media is creating nonsense" i shouted
"You do everything and blame us? Achchamma said seriously
I sighed
"Go with Sita, take blessings from Father Fernandez..." Achchamma paused
"Sita, you are Hindu... are you..."
"I respect all religions. God is same, we gave different names and chose different ways to worship him" Sita said
Achchamma looked at Sita in astonishment
"Even old people don't understand the true meaning of God dear... we are blessed to get you"
What Achchamma said is true. People forget humanity and fight that their religion is great and even go to the extent of killing.
I took Sita to church and took blessings from Father Fernandez. I wanted to show Sita around Kollam but dad asked me to come to factory. I dropped Sita home and went to factory. There was some issue with quality control. By the time everything is fixed, it was late night. Sita was sleeping. I had dinner with Joseph, didn't feel sleepy. I kind of feel anxious, not sure why. I sat with Joseph on terrace
"Nervous?" He asked
"Kind of, can't believe, I'm getting engaged to a stranger" I said
Joseph laughed as if there is no tomorrow
"You..." he couldn't get words out. I smacked his head
"Our family is planning to get you married in this month" he said laughing
"Are you serious?" I shouted
"Achamma said, 'I want to see great grand children but I don't want before seeing Ben's wedding"
What?
"Why are you surprised? You should at least lock the door bro" he said laughing
Now I realized why everyone is giving me lecture. Jesus! Can this get any worse? They witnessed me with Sita in my arms, sleeping on same bed.
"Nothing happened between us... we... Sita..."
"I know but maids witnessed... imagine the gossips... you gave heart attack to mom and achchamma. You didn't want to get married anytime soon but suddenly you said, you love Sita and you are sleeping with her... imagine them seeing you both on bed" Joseph said
No one will believe the truth now
"Did you confess your feelings?" He asked
"Yes but Sita doesn't love me" I said sadly
"Do you think Sita would sleep with a stranger on same bed, hugging? She doesn't realize her feelings, probably scared of marriage and commitments. She thinks she is too young for that. Give her sometime" he said
I went to bed, couldn't sleep... after tossing whole night, don't know when sleep took over me
