I felt so safe and comfortable when Ben wrapped his arm around my shoulder, threatened that good for nothing fellow. When he said his feelings about me, I was over the moon.
I realized Dheeraj is related to Athiraj but he is good person and is friend of Ben. They both are not in good terms, no doubt, Ben's ego is the reason. They both studied in MIT. How did I miss two handsome guys?

They both came out in silence. Dheeraj paid for my dress when I was about to pay. He said it's his cousin's fault that my dress is spoiled. I was not in a mood to argue.

Ben didn't even offer to pay my dress, not that I would let him.
Joseph and Nithya selected few rings and asked us to finalize.
"You finalize Chechi"
"You pick Sita, it's for you" she said
"I don't want to waste my time for fake engagement, just pick one" I said
Ben also said the same. He paid for the rings but I transferred him money for my ring. He looked at me in anger. As if I care. Dresses shopping too went in the same manner after lunch
I was tired but didn't have the heart to go home
"Chechi, I will come with Dheeraj" i said
"No Sita,you are coming with me" Ben said
"Dheeraj, I want to have ice cream, can you drop me home later" I said
"I will bring her safely, go Ben. Don't argue" he said
They all left. I got into Dheeraj's car, didn't notice where he took me.
"Smoothies are fresh and best here Sita" he said
"Order anything, I don't know which is best" I said
He ordered something
"What's bothering you?" He asked
"I ran away from home to escape marriage... When I booked ticket to India, I was excited to see all the beautiful places here. Not even in my dreams, I thought that I would get into this kind of situation" I said
"Life is unpredictable Sita, you never know what happens the next second. You don't want the marriage arranged by your parents or you don't want to get married?" He asked
"Im not ready for marriage. When dad said he arranged my marriage with Sathu, I panicked"
"You don't like that guy?" He asked
"He is my friend from the time I was born, I spent more time with him than my parents. We both are so close, I don't see him that way...
I want to fall in love, experience that magic..."
He smiled
"I'm jealous of you, I love your dimples. Even Santhu has but they are not as deep as yours. If I had dimples like you, all boys would have been at my feet" i said
"You are very beautiful Sita, you have good heart too. I'm sure hundreds of boys proposed you. " he said
"I used to run away when someone proposed me, don't know why it scares me" I confessed
"Love is magical but you never know when you fall in love... sometimes you don't even realize you are in love. People think love can be expressed with only sweet gestures... there are so many ways you express love... anger, possessiveness, hatred"
I laughed
"Hatred?"
"Yes Sita, love can be expressed with hatred too. You will understand when you are in love"
"I don't think I would fall in love... in couple of months I will return home. Dad would ground me forever and get me married to Santhu"
"Are you ok to marry him" he asked
"Dad never forced me, first time he asked me this... he is firm on his decision. I can never find a single reason to reject Santhu and dad wins.
It's hard to see him as husband but maybe it's not a bad idea. No one knows me better than him..."
"Is he ok with this marriage?"
"I don't know. He tracked me and called me... he was worried about my safety.
He asked if I don't like him. I told him, it's not about him... I'm not ready for marriage. He didn't ask me anything about marriage... just asked about my safety, if I need any help and money..."
I told Dheeraj about my part time job and new project
"Why didn't you ask if he wants to marry you?" He asked
"Maybe I'm a coward" I confessed
I can't face Santhu if he wants to marry me
"What do you want to do now?" He asked
"I don't know, Ben promised that he would get everything settled soon and send me back. I don't know if I could visit all the places as I wished but I'm ok with it. I love Ben's family especially ammachchi.... I always wished for grandparents..."
"What about Ben? Do you like him?"
"Who would like that ass****? I'm staying with him because of situation. I hate him, he doesn't know how to talk, how to behave... all he has is big fat ego"
he laughed
"He cares for you... "
I highly doubt that
Dheeraj's phone rang. He rolled his eyes and showed me caller ID. It's Ben
"It's getting late, are you done with smoothie... I will come and pick Sita" he said
Is he stalking me
"I ordered but they didn't get it yet" Dheeraj said
"Ask them to make it, to go, I will be there in 5 minutes" he cut the call
"What the?" I shouted
He went to the counter and asked then to make it to go
"You never know when you love someone. Ben doesn't speak his heart usually, his ego stops him. Whatever he said in front of journalists is from his heart. I know when he hides and when he speaks truth, trust me.
