Benjamin's POV

I opened my eyes hearing voices. My whole family is here talking to this strange girl and she is having confused look.

"What are you all doing here?" I asked

"We came to see my daughter in law" mom said

Did they watch the news? I wanted to inform last night but it was too late and there was no signal. I thought to inform as soon as I wake up. Did they think she is really my fiancé?

"I will leave. Nice to meet you all" she said leaving. 

She has no idea it's her

"Where are you going dear?" Mom asked

"My room" she replied

"You are staying in separate rooms?" Dad asked

"Yes uncle, I'm sorry if you misunderstood. We had situation last night... we both were locked inside, had no choice. You see your son is a gentleman, gave me bed and he slept on sofa. Your son is a gem. Please don't misunderstand him" she said leaving

That's very sweet of her. Does she really think I'm a gem. I felt elated

"Why didn't you leave when the door was opened and all journalists reporters came last night?" Nithya(Joseph's wife, my friend) asked

"Did the reporters really came? Wow! I thought it's a dream. I'm sorry, I'm deep sleeper, don't remember much once I sleep" she said looking embarrassed

She doesn't remember? 

"Have breakfast dear. You must be hungry" mom said taking her to table

"Thank you so much aunty, very sweet of you. Your son got your genes, he is very sweet too. Did you all have breakfast?" She asked

Why am I feeling so happy whenever she praise me? She is very well cultured, asking my family if they had food.

"We all had dear" mom said

"You didn't have dinner last night. Brush your teeth and come, I will wait for you" she said to me

Mom dad Nithya Joseph are giving me teasing looks. I rushed to restroom

"What's your name dear?" Mom asked

"Sita... it's very old name but mom named me after her grandmother. Sometimes I feel there should be ban on naming kids after their parents and grandparents" she said

She is a chatterbox, no filter to her mouth.

'Does your parents know?" Dad asked

"No uncle, I escaped after leaving a letter. Probably they are searching for me. I feel bad but you tell me uncle, they should consider my opinion about marriage right" she said

Is she in love with someone and escaped forceful marriage? I don't know why but it made me sad

I came out, she served me breakfast in plate and started to eat.

"We will convince your parents" mom said

Mom thinks we both are in love

"Thank you aunty but my parents are as stubborn as me. They fixed my marriage with Santhosh. He is a good guy but I never thought of him that way" she said

"It's ok , we are there, after some days they will forgive you" dad said

"We have so much shopping to do, how about we go now?" Mom said

"Can I come with you? I love shopping, I'm new here..." Sita said

Still she has no clue that my family is going for our wedding shopping 

"Mom, you all go. I will bring Sita after we have breakfast and get ready"

Then I signed Joseph to take everyone. He convinced everyone and took out

"Food is so yummy" she said

"Do you know what's happening here?" I asked

"Opera" she mocked 

I rolled my eyes

"My parents think we are in love and they are planning for our wedding"

She looked at me in shock

"You and me? Why? We just met. You know what they are thinking, why didn't you tell truth?" She asked angrily

"Look Sita, it's complicated. Reporters came last night. Someone informed them that I'm with a... call girl..."

"Oh my God! You are that kind of bastard. It's not my concern, your wife should worry. But you seem to be gentleman, didn't misbehave with me."

"Are you always this dumb? I have never been with any girl..."

"You are a gay... you are scared to come out? don't worry, I will convince your parents. Love is beyond religion, race, status... why not gender. Its legal in US. I'm not sure here..."

I don't know what happened, before I realized what's happening I crushed my lips with hers. I never kissed before

It felt heavenly kissing her. She was shocked at first, kissed me back after sometime. We both were so lost in kissing, came back to senses hearing someone clear throat. That's when I saw mom at the door smiling. 

She is never going to believe me now.

"Your grandma called and asked us to come there. We will start in half an hour. Sita get ready fast" mom left

"You bastard, how dare you kiss me?" She tried to slap me. I held her hand

"Why did you kiss me back?" I said

"I didn't" she said in low voice looking down blushing

"I'm sorry Sita... I don't know what got over me. We have bigger problems. Please stay with us and go by the story till I find a way out. It's very complicated, I will explain later. I promise you best behavior. Get ready and come" she left to her room

Why did I kiss her?
