You and Eddie walk into to the store, hand in hand. You look through the aisles and grab whatever is necessary for your girls night.
"Why can't I come?" Eddie whined again
"I wish you could come but it's a girls night." You say while grabbing a basket
"You don't like me anymore do you?" Eddie huffs as he crosses his arms over his chest. Eddie was really throwing a tantrum right now, in the middle of the store.
"Eddie, don't even." You warn him. You knew exactly what he was about to do
"I give you the time of your life this morning, I'm talking the best sex you've ever had and you can't even take me to a movie!" Eddie says loudly
Your eyes widen and you look around to see if anyone was staring, which they indeed were, before smacking your hand against Eddie's mouth
"Eddie, stop. Please, don't say another word." You plead with your eyes wide
He nods slowly and waits for you to remove your hands from his mouth before smiling widely
"You can see me naked but you can't watch a fucking movie with me?" Eddie shouts out while trying to make it seem as if he was hurt
You roll your eyes and walk away from Eddie, the one thing you didn't want him to do, he does. As much as you like Eddie, he's a pain in the ass. He's cute, but still a little sack of shit.
"Don't you walk away from me Valerie Mae Wheeler!" Eddie said while following you
"Eddie, shut the fuck up!" You say while turning around and looking at him
A smirk grew even wider on his face as he could tell that he was annoying you
"Now look at you, arguing with me in front of all these people who are just trying to shop! Where is your decency?" Eddie said
"Edward. Can you shut your face and grab me a box or two of Cracker Jack?" You say while turning on your heel to observe your surroundings
"Of course, my sweets." Eddie said before pressing a kiss on your cheek and leaving the aisle
"Valerie Wheeler." A voice behind you says causing you to look behind you
"Lisa." You reply in an unhappy tone.
She walks up to you and crosses her arms. You knew exactly why she was annoyed with you but you didn't have the time to deal with her.
"So, I see that you're still with Eddie. Did you not understand when I said that you were to break up with him?" Lisa said while cocking her head to the side slightly
"No, I understood. I just don't want to. Eddie and I are happy and we're good where we're at." You say
"So, he knows what happened last summer?" She asked
"Don't speak about that like you know what happened. You don't know shit about what went down with Billy and I." You say through gritted teeth
"Oh, everyone knows what went down, or should I say 'who went down'. It would be a shame if sweet little Eddie found out about your time with Billy." She threats
"Eddie knows exactly what happened. There's nothing you could say to Eddie to make him change how he feels about me." You say while balling your fists up
"The clock is ticking, Valerie. You don't have long before I spread the word about you and Jason." She said
"That didn't fucking happen and you know it! I would never do that Chrissy. You can't start a rumor like that, it'll ruin everything." You say
"You can stop the rumor by leaving Eddie. It's a simple action that can be done. Break up with Eddie and your reputation won't be tarnished, got it?" She said in a fake sweet tone
"Eddie won't believe the rumor." You say
"He will. Eddie is the most gullible person you will ever meet. He doesn't think with his head, he thinks with his heart. This rumor will crush his heart, make him hate you and come crawling back to me. So if you dare udder one word of this to Eddie, I will reek havoc on your ass." She said
"Is everything okay over here?" You hear from behind you.
You turn around and see Eddie standing there with snacks in his arms.
Eddie places the snacks down in your basket and walks over to you. He looks down at you before looking at Lisa.
"Eddie, long time no see!" Lisa smiles as she walks up to Eddie, giving him a bear hug. He doesn't hug back, he just looks at you.
"Fancy seeing you two here. Is everything okay with you two?" Lisa asked in a kind tone
"We're fine." You say with a forced smile
"The whole store can tell you two aren't fine. You know, with all the yelling about not wanting to watch a movie with him." Lisa said while looking Eddie up and down
"Everything I said was a joke, Analisa. Vallie and I are just fine. Everything with us is perfect." Eddie said while wrapping his arm around your waist
"Is it?" Lisa asked while slowly turning her head towards you
"Yes, it is. She's so perfect, we're perfect." Eddie said defensively
"I'm happy for you two." Lisa said with a smile as she shifted her eyes from Eddie and onto you.
"Thank you." You struggle to get out without making Eddie get protective
"Eddie, you know where I live, my door is always open." She says while shooting a wink to him
You clench your fist even tighter and force a smile out. Eddie's hand intertwined with your and he traces soft circles on your skin
"Yeah, we'll see." Eddie said uninterested
"I'll see you around Eddie," She glanced over at me and faked a smile "Valerie you should really think about my offer."
She walked away and Eddie turned to you with a confused face
"What offer?" He asked
"She wants me to do her homework in exchange for fake hall passes." You say
"Oh." Eddie said before shrugging and pushing the basket
You and Eddie check out and he carries all of the bags to his van. He puts them in the back and opens your door for you to get in.
As Eddie drives back to the trailer, Lisa's threat took over your thoughts. None of it made sense to you. Why was Lisa so pent up on Eddie when they really were t anything to each other.
"Hey, you okay? You've been silent this whole drive." Eddie asked while putting his van in park and looking over at you
You hesitated for a second before looking over at Eddie to see that he was already looking at you. He wasn't going to force it out if you but as soon as you were ready to talk, he was ready to listen.
"Eddie, did she mean anything to you?" You ask
"Are you talking about Lisa?" Eddie asks while putting his undivided attention on you
"Yeah, her. Did she mean anything to you, like at all?" You ask while biting on your nail
"At one point she did. I thought she was a cool chick, things happened and now I have you. I, Eddie Munson, have Valerie Mae Wheeler by my side." He says
You smile at him and lean over, wrapping your arms around him. He stroked your hair with his hand and lets out a soft sigh.
"My sweet Vallie, you are never getting rid of me." Eddie said before placing a kiss on the top of your head
