Azul's performance in class was, to put it lightly, not up to his usual standards. How could it be, when just last night y/n kissed him. Kissed him. On the cheek, granted, but he could not stop thinking about it. And he still had to see her that day at work. He wanted to take Vil's advice to just ask her out, but every time he psyched himself up, he thought of everything that could go wrong. If she laughed in his face or acted horrified at the thought of dating him, he was certain to drop dead right there. He tried his best to compose himself as he walked over to the Lounge to start things up for the day.

Amelia met you at your apartment around 2 pm. She had to skip the second half of the school day to be there. You were ruining this girl and you loved it.
"Bitch, why are you dressed up so nice? Are you trying to steal my man?" You joke. Amelia was wearing a nicer dress than usual, though.
"Nah, I think I'll stick with my guy. I just wanted to look good if I'm going to such a nice establishment. Besides, no one will be looking at me with the way you're dressed," she points to your signature gown.
"This old thing? This is just my uniform," you say sarcastically, making little poses to show it off.
"Shut up. Are we going or not?" She urges. You just know she can't wait another minute to see this side of your life that you've hidden so well. She did make you take a bus, as she refused to walk for two hours. You realize you should've called up Kalim and asked for a ride, but too little too late. Amelia notices that you're a little squirmy during the voyage.
"Nervous?" She grins at you. You scowl at her.
"Don't tell them any embarrassing stories about me," you demand.
"Embarrass you? Me? Never" she dramatically assures you. She really didn't want to ruin your chance with a guy like this. Maybe you would finally be with someone she wouldn't be ashamed to go on double dates with. She already had a full arsenal of stories of your best moments. Times where you were there for her or super badass or fun. The bus arrived at the nearest stop to NRC and you walked the last 15 minutes.
"Whoaaa, it's huge!!" Amelia marvels at the campus.
"Massive, so it's a fucking pain in the ass to get around. Especially in this dress," you lead Amelia to Octavinelle, letting her stop occasionally to admire details of the campus.

Azul fidgeted in the Lounge as he waited for y/n to arrive, ignoring Jade and Floyd snickering at him from behind. You still had ten minute to get there in time for your shift, but he just stood there in front of the bar, ready to wait the whole time. Luckily for him, you only took another minute to show up. He sees you're wearing the necklace he gave you. That was a good decision on his part.
"Oh, Sea Bunny brought a friend," Floyd points out. It was a surprise to all of them. They never expected you to introduce them to anyone in your personal life.
"Hey boys. This is Amelia," your friend puts up a hand in greeting. She looks over all three guys, quietly scrutinizing their appearances. Her first thought is that the twins are really creepy looking. Her second is that while Azul isn't her type, he's quite handsome. And much cleaner looking than any of your exes. So far, she approved of this one.
"Y/n told me so much about you," she lies. You haven't told her shit.
"Oh, you talk about us~?" Azul teases, amazed at himself that he is managing to keep his composure around you after all.
"Yeah, I tell her all about how my bosses are such slavedrivers," you kick her lightly in the shin. Azul wasn't sure what you were saying about him but he was sure of something; he had to get in good with your friend. The approval of a girl's friend was everything, and if she hated him, he stood no chance with y/n. At least, he thinks that's how it works with girls.
"We're very happy to have you, Amelia. Please, do join us in the VIP room," Azul puts his hands on the small of both your backs and guides you to the office you know all too well. You give him a suspicious look at his kindness, and he smiles innocently in return.
He allows you and Amelia to sit on the couches opposite each other. Azul takes a seat next to you while the twins sit on either side of your friend. All three have disconcerting smiles.
"You two... you better not touch her," you warn, seeing Amelia is a little unnerved at the eel boys, as anyone would be.
"Huh, I can't squeeze her just a little?" Floyd makes a grabby motion with his hand.
"Absolutely not!" You get up and pull Floyd off of the couch to switch seats with him. He tries to squirm out of your grip but you stay firm. Azul maintains his smile but internally promises to kill Floyd for forcing you to switch places with him. You also have Amelia move to the end of the couch so you can act as a divider between her and Jade. "Listen, all three of you. If anything happens to this girl, I'm burning this whole school down."
"Hehe, classic y/n, so strong and valiant!" Amelia has already started her wingwoman mission.
"She's our very own little firecracker!" Azul beams.
"She's truly been a great addition to our team," Jade adds.
"And she's sooo cute~" Floyd chimes in.
"Is everyone here high? Stop complimenting me out of nowhere," you scowl, trapped in a room of grinning freaks. They all laugh.
"There's that killer sense of humor! God, she always used to have all our friends howling when we were in school together," Amelia continued the compliment assault.
"...don't we have a restaurant to be running? Let's go, you people are making me uncomfortable," you get up to attend to the first customers that are trickling in.
"I'll bring you a menu," Jade tells your friend.

Azul is torn between watching you interact with the customers and wanting to get info from Amelia. Considering it isn't every day you bring a friend around, he decides on the latter, choosing to deliver Amelia's melon soda to her himself.
"I'm so glad our dear y/n finally decided to bring a friend along. She really is so private," Azul sets the drink down and sits opposite Amelia.
"It's true, she didn't even tell me she had this job until a month after she started working here," Amelia takes a sip of the drink. "Ah, delicious. You know, it's just because she's been burned so much in the past. It made her really tough, but it also made it hard for her to open up to people. So I'm really happy you gave her this job. She likes you guys a lot and I always tell her she needs more good people in her life," Azul blushes a little.
"Yes, she was very cautious of us in the beginning, but I believe she trusts us much more these days," Azul proudly replies. "We've very much enjoyed her presence. She's truly the pearl of the Mostro Lounge," Azul tries not to go into too much of a diatribe on how great you are, lest he make his feelings obvious.
"Of course she is, she's super hot after all. I bet the guys are flocking to her here."
"She is quite popular. However, I do sometimes worry about if all the attention is, well, wanted..." Azul recalls the one incident with the groper, hoping Amelia hadn't been informed so she wouldn't think less of the place.
"I'm sure you're great at protecting her. You seem like you care about her a lot," Amelia sneakily tries to find out if there are any feelings involved.
"I... we do. She's a great friend to us," it isn't lost on Amelia how the smile fades from his eyes a little when he refers to you as a friend. That was all she needed to know for sure that this guy was crazy about you.

You're only 45 minutes into your shift when you decide you need a break. Not because you're tired, but because you need to make sure no one was being gross with Amelia. You tell a random waiter to cover for you and join her in the VIP room. You're... unsettled to see her sitting with Azul and Floyd, the three of them laughing away.
"What are you guys doing to her..?"
"Y/n, you should know we would never hurt a dear friend of yours," Azul promises, partly because he knows you absolutely would make good on your previous arson threat if they did. "We've just been sharing stories of all the good times we've had with you!"
"Like which ones..?" You ask Amelia through gritted teeth.
"I was just telling them about the time at our middle school prom where I was all sad cuz the boy I liked was dancing with someone else so you took me and some of our friends away and started up a small dance party in the park just for us! Oh, that reminds me of when the popular girl at school was bullying my cousin so y/n called her out in front of the WHOLE SCHOOL! Everyone called her a hero for that one."
"As expected of y/n! Her bravery is noticeable from the moment you meet here," Azul piles on more compliments. You sigh, a little irritated but letting it go since none of the stories made you look bad. You point at Azul, then at Floyd, then back at Azul, then back at Floyd.
"You two, I got my eyes on you. Don't. Try. Anything," you slowly back out of the room.

As the evening goes on, you hear constant laughter from the VIP room. You also notice Jade and Floyd move in and out, sometimes bringing more food for Amelia. Azul, however, seems to be with her the whole time. A pit settled in your stomach at this. No matter how unlikely it was, the worst parts of your brain start telling you that Azul might be a little too charmed by your friend. Scenes of her leaving her boyfriend and running away with your guy play in your head. Actually, that was unfair of you. He wasn't your guy. You 'didn't even know if you liked him,' after all. Okay, that was bullshit. You realized it just now when you called him your guy in your head. You definitely liked him. Fuck.
