Short one cuz Ignihyde arc next chapter

When you woke up, everything in your body hurt. After dropping Amelia off at her place, giving her a half hearted goodbye, you threw yourself on your couch with a bottle of vodka you didn't remember buying. Alcohol seemed to just sort of appear in your home. You can't even recall the last time you were asked for your fake ID when purchasing it, as it seemed every store you shopped at was familiar with you. Even the cashier at the liquor store seemed concerned for you lately. It made you feel pathetic, the way every single person in your life worried for you. It was almost enough to make you clean up your act. But not quite. So instead, you downed a third of the bottle the prior night, waking up on your couch, hair wild and throat burning. At least this time you bothered to change out of your dress first.
After taking a moment to orient yourself, wondering if you were even in reality, you grab your phone from the floor. 11:28 AM, actually earlier than you normally wake up. Your battery is at a dismal 13%. The home screen is loaded with messages from Amelia, asking if you got home, if you were okay, etc. you felt horrible for not answering sooner and making her worry. After shooting her a quick text assuring her you didn't die and apologizing for your behavior, you notice there's another text from another conversation still unchecked. It was Azul.
"Fuckin..." you mutter under your breath. You brace yourself before seeing what he said. You didn't know if you were fired or if he thought you were a psycho or if he wanted to confess his undying love to you. Or if it was something completely mundane.
It ended up mostly being that last one, because he just texted to ask you to talk when you could. Since you (probably) weren't fired, you decided to ignore it. Give yourself more time to sober up and think this out. You would talk to him at work, which you were not going to skip, no matter how bad you wanted to. You needed to face this as soon as possible so you could go back to normal. Since you weren't used to being up at this hour, you took a long, cold shower before getting ready for work. You would be quite early, but you wanted to clear the air before customers arrived anyway.

Azul was completely sick of going through his classes in a daze. This wasn't the first time it had happened since meeting you. Sometimes it was for a good reason, daydreaming of your face and the conversations you would have in his office, the times you'd make physical contact out of nowhere and leave him a blushing mess. Your sharp wit and your steadfastness. The necklace he gifted you resting on your collarbone. Your leg sticking out of the slit in your dress, driving him insane.
Other times, like this one, it was a cloud around his head. The times you didn't trust him or got angry with him. The many ex boyfriends and the reckless lifestyle and the way you always stayed just a little closed off. And whatever went on with you last night. All he could think of on this day was getting to the lounge so he could find out if you were coming back. Imagine his shock when you're already there, waiting for him and the twins with a sorrowful expression. He breathes an audible sigh of relief that makes you relax your shoulders a little, just knowing he wasn't mad at you. Hard as you try to resist, you can't stop your body from moving to his and wrapping him up in a hug. He lets another sigh of relief loose, knowing you're not mad at him. You remove yourself from him, hands on his shoulders. He wraps his hands around your wrists.
"Y/n, what happened last night?" He asks, genuine concern in his eyes. It squeezes your heart the slightest bit. You're a little tempted to confess and get it over with, but your logical mind stops you.
"I... I don't know," you lie. "Whatever it was, that was completely inappropriate of me and I'm sorry," Azul sighed yet again.
"I'm just happy you're not mad at us..." Azul smiles at you. You smile back, taking a split second to commit the feeling of his hands on your wrists to memory, and let him go.
"Great, then let's get to work!" You clap your hands together. "I'm ready to rake in some cash. Gonna customer service my ass off," you run off towards the bar. Azul relaxes his body seeing that your energy came back. Two things were certain; Azul was never giving anyone anything on the house again (besides you) and you were never bringing any friends over again.
