"Ah! Good, you two are right on time!" Rook smiles at you and Epel. Epel gracefully lands and steps off with ease, while you stumble around like you can't feel your legs. Rook hands the both of you some surprisingly good looking food.
"Thanks, but I'm not hungry," you try to hand your portion back to Rook.
"Non! You must eat! You will need your strength to save your dear Azul," he insists. You want to protest this statement, but what was the point? He was right that you needed to be in peak condition and even more right that Azul was dear to you. You get down as much food as you can while Rook explains some of the logistics of the rescue mission.
"Thank you for the meal!" Epel says, finishing up his last bite. "We left without any plan at hand, so food definitely didn't cross our minds," he was right about that. Your mind was so blank when the two of you took off that you forgot about any basic survival instincts.
"We'll run into many towns on our way. We can procure food there if necessary," Rook assures Epel.
"You really think it'll take long enough that we'll need that? I was hoping the trip would be a little quicker," you ask. Rook can see the fear in your eyes.
"Mademoiselle, I know you're afraid for him, but you must trust in him to handle himself. We will get there in due time," Rook gently explains. You bury your head in your hands.
"I know, I know! Just do what you have to do to get us there," Epel calmingly rubs your back.
"Can I ask you something, Rook-San? You don't know where the Isle of Woe is, but you said you could see where they are, right?" Epel asks.
"Here's a secret... it's a little something I like to call my unique magic."

Rook's explanation of both his unique magic and your travel route were a lot for you to take in. This magic stuff was somewhat beyond you. Magic was something you tried to think little about throughout your life so as not to be too jealous of those that have it. You would just have to leave this part up to him. He and Epel wanted to get going ASAP to prevent being caught by their teachers, who would have taken notice of their absence, though they probably wouldn't care at all about you running off like this.
"One more thing, it's best for you two to change to keep warm through the night. I'd recommend wearing the dorm uniform for night travel," Rook suggests. Epel uses his own magic to switch into his.
"Let me lend you one of our own, Y/n-san," before you can stop him, he magics a Pomefiore uniform onto your body. It's a little more to your own style than his and Epel's, with a chic leather jacket, a short wrap skirt, and knit thigh highs.
"Wha— why'd you have me go home to change if you could just do this!?" You ask in exasperation.
"I thought that it might help clear your head," you couldn't deny that you felt a little more stable after the quiet broom rides.
"You— can I keep this outfit?"
"Of course, Madam!" Rook turns his attention back to Epel. "Epel-kun, I will be flying at full speed from here on. Don't fall behind."
"I'm the best flier among the freshman! I'll be right at your toes!" Epel boasts.
"Do not drop me," you hiss into his ear.
"Let us be off to the Isle of Woe!"

"The blue skies! The warm sunlight... what a marvelous day for flying!" Rook shouts. You want to knock him off his broom and right into the waters below. "You two look quite worse for wear. Has the long distance traveling taken its toll on you?" He looks back to you and Epel, lagging just slightly behind him. Both of you have sunken eyes, and your uniform is a bit disheveled. Epel complains about the Hunt family villas being too fancy, and you're inclined to agree. Besides Azul's dorm room, the villas are the fanciest places you've ever been to, but you couldn't enjoy a single second there. You were too worried, too eager to keep flying on in order to get to Azul as fast as possible.
"I'd really love to be there under better circumstances," you admit.
"Then let us invite Vil and the NRC Tribe members to a sleepover. You may bring Azul along as well, Madam. My sibling often frequent the villas, but if I call ahead of time they will surely accommodate us."
"Siblings, huh... I won't have to meet them if I go, will I?" You ask. One Rook is more than enough to deal with. You don't need however many others causing chaos around you.
"If I may ask, how many siblings do you have?" Epel chimes in.
"Two elder, three younger, so there are six of us."
"SIX!?" You and Epel scream in unison.
"Oui, though it has gotten difficult to schedule our days off together. Still, we are a lively bunch when we are all together!"
"I see... Y/n, what about you? Do you have any sibling?" Epel asks.
"Uh, yeah. Two younger sisters. Haven't seen them in awhile, though," you try to hide your sadness at this fact.
"I've always thought you seemed like a big sister. What are they like?" Epel silently pictures two shorter version of you in your signature dress, yelling at someone who was doing something annoying.
"They're good kids. Nothing like me at all," there goes Epel's little vision. The image was replaced with two little goody-goody girls standing next to your slouching, scowling form. Rook saves you from having to continue with this topic by gasping.
"We are nearing the coordinates!" Rook exclaims. Your stomach tightens. You're so close to finding your Azul, hopefully in one piece. Epel and Rook fly in closer to where Rook's magic takes him.
"What? I don't see any land nearby..." Epel points out. "Is this really the right place?"
"I have no doubts. Vil and the others are being held here!" There is a brief pause between the three of you.
"So... what the fuck do we do?" You finally ask.
"I shall try to get their attention," Rook clears his throat. "Bonjour, people of the Isle of Woe! I have come here in pursuit of beauty!" He screams into the void of the sea. "My sworn friend, Vil Scho—"
"FUCKING LET US IN. GIVE AZUL BACK. LET ME IN ASSHOLES," you interrupt Rook. Epel looks back at you in shock. Some men in full high tech armor come at your group from beneath the water.
"They're the ones who took Vil-San and the others away!" Epel confirms.
"Listen well, Epel, Y/n. We are not here to win. Only to show resistance."
"Yeah, our only goal is to get into the Isle of Woe!"
"Oui, we are at a disadvantage against their armor," Rook poofs an island into existence in order to have ground to stand on through the fight. "That should do. It is time for the curtains to rise on our grand mission to save love and beauty!" You steel yourself, ready to fight these overpowered magical cyborgs with everything your magicless body has. Anything to save Azul.
