It should've been a regular, mundane day that would've allowed Azul to mull over the events of the previous night. The torrential outpouring of emotions was a major energy killer, and he looked forward to slowly moving through an average school day to collect himself as he waited for your shift to start. He sluggishly fidgeted with the knight in his hand, incapable of putting his whole mind into this game of chess. It was clear that Idia was going to beat him. He didn't mind. He looked down at his phone as Idia made the next move, examining the simple text you sent to confirm that you made it home last night. 'Got home.' Was all it said.
Idia looked at his opponent in confusion. It wasn't like Azul to be so absent minded. Did it have something to do with that waitress he was so obviously in love with? Probably, but Idia wanted no part of Azul's personal business. Jade and Floyd could deal with it later. He wasn't about to become someone's confidant, even if he was just a little curious about what the deal was between Azul and his waitress. Dating an employee is a little sketchy, isn't it? Again, that wasn't Idia's problem. Azul was just about to make another losing move, when suddenly, the sound of an explosion filled his ears, throwing the chessboard across the room.

You wake up in a worse fog than usual. Without pulling your face away from your pillow, you repeatedly hit your phone on the night table, wondering why your alarm isn't turning off. It takes longer than you would like to admit to realize that there was no alarm, and you were abusing your phone for no reason. So if your alarm wasn't going off, just why were you awake? You groan and finally check the time. 12:08 pm. You didn't need to be up for another hour. Last night must still be weighing heavily on your mind to have you awake before you had to be. All you could think about on the ride home, while trying to sleep, in your dreams, and at this minute was how torturous it was going to be to wait for that day when Azul completes his third year and he's no longer directly in charge of the lounge and you can take him into your arms and tell him you love him. That left you with a little over a year of this hell, pretending you two could be just friends and hoping and praying that another girl doesn't swoop in on him before you can.
You open your texts to your latest conversation with Azul. You simply sent a text to inform him you got home last night. It was left on read. You debated sending a good morning text and complaining about being up earlier than usual. You decide against it. Rolling out of bed, you try to think up something to do with this unwanted extra morning time. Your first instinct is to call up your girl Amelia and tell her about your not-date, but you don't want to deal with her making a bigger deal out of it than it is. And so, you sort of just decide to get ready at a more leisurely pace, occasionally just sitting and thinking until it was time to go.

The atmosphere at NRC was somehow... off when you arrived. Few students were hanging around, which was unusual for this hour. The students that were there seemed to be chattering nervously amongst themselves. They noticed you as you walked through campus, shooting you concerned looks, rather than happily greeting you as they usually would.
"Um, hey guys. What's wrong?" You ask some of them. They all avoid eye contact with you.
"You should... you should ask Jade and Floyd..." an antsy Scarabia student tells you. Whatever is going on, these guys are too afraid to tell you what happened, knowing your reaction would be less than good. "The-they're not in the Mostro Lounge, b-by the way," you squint at the kid, trying to stare him in the eyes to get more info out of him, but he and his friends all stare at the ground. You sigh, taking out your phone to text Jade.

Y/n: Wtf is happening??

Jade: Meet us in the headmaster's office.

He doesn't give you any more context. It starts to genuinely worry you. You sprint across campus, nearly tripping in your floor length dress the whole way. At least you were wearing sneakers instead of your heels, having gotten into a habit of changing into the fancier shoes at work. The wreckage you see across various buildings makes your heart rate quicken even more. You come upon the main building, realizing you don't know where the headmaster's office is located within it. Assuming it's at the top, you start rushing up the stairs, stopping an Ignihyde kid to ask for a more exact location, harshly gripping his shoulders. He chokes out a fast answer to get you off of him faster and you follow his directions.
"Just what the hell is going on!?" You crash right into Jade as he and Floyd leave the office. He grabs your shoulders, trying to calm you, and Floyd hugs you from behind, resting his head on yours.
"Y/n, try to remain calm," Jade attempts to brace you for what he's about to say.
"How can I—"
"Azul was taken," Floyd interjects. He knows it's best to just tell you.
"WHAT!? Taken where!? Where is he!? We need to go get him!" You try to rush off, to where you don't know. The twins keep their hold on you.
"He and several others were taken to the Isle of Woe, but no one knows where it is. We just have to wait for more information at this point," Jade sighs.
"You think I'll be satisfied with that!? We'll look everywhere in the world if we have to! Come on, what's wrong with you!?" You thrash around in the twins' arms, desperate to do anything at all.
"Y/n!" Kalim cries, running over to you. Jade and Floyd let go of you and allow Kalim to wrap you in a suffocating hug. "Jamil was taken too! I wanna go looking for him, too, but..." Kalim pauses. "We have to trust that the teachers will find them or that they'll make it out on their own. So please, try to stay calm," Kalim's big dumb eyes look up at you. It didn't relax you so much as it did guilt you into trying to hold it together, but you stop your yelling for now.
"We have to go assess the damage done. For now, please wait for us in the lounge and we can discuss more soon," you nod at Jade's request, silently storming off to the hall of mirrors.

The walk to the hall of mirrors is slow and painful. Your nails dig so far into your palms that you can swear you drew blood, but you're too caught up in your thoughts to even notice it. Right as you're about to enter, you hear something that stops you in your tracks.
"You're going WHEEERRRREEE!?!?" You hear a boy's voice shriek. You eavesdrop on the conversation happening in the room and quickly realize that this is your ticket to Azul.
