"Ryan"

Usella called.

Ryan shifted his gaze to her.

"Good morning aunt"

Ryan mumbled out, his eyes to the floor. Andy watched as Ryan lowered his head to Usella to give him a forehead kiss. She looked away, if he wasn't so arrogant, she would have considered seeing how sweet that was of him.

"Good morning son"

Usella whirled. Andy had her eyes on the quiche eating it so consciously. She smiled and turned right back.

"Take it easy on her Ryan" she said quietly. Ryan's eyes were on Andy. "All these are so new to her and more to come will still be. She reminds me so much of your mother and I really do not want to believe that you do not want to complete the mating process all because of Eva's memories and the pains your dad went through"

Ryan shut his eyes and opened them almost instantly.

"Are they not enough reasons Usella?...you weren't even here the day mother was buried. You had disappeared for years"

Usella could still feel the hostility and bitterness his voice came with each time he spoke on it, her eyes, slowly were getting wet.

"That hunts me for years Ryan but you won't deny that I was always there when you called"

Ryan shut his eyes for a second this time desperately and shook his head. The pain evident in those eyes when he opened them again.

"You weren't there when I most needed you aunt"

"You never called"

"I didn't need to call. You knew I needed you. You fucking knew I was healing"

"I was hurting as well son"

Ryan nodded

"Dad was hurting too but he stayed"

The silence was calm..

Usella was taken back at that moment. Ryan stared hard at her. He probably haven't called him dad in ages nor defended him but there were truths that needed to be owned up to.

Usella took a step closer

"Wills was the alpha. He had a whole pack to lead and do not forget Ryan Knight, I was beside your mom every single day of her life until her last breath. Stop laying blames on people that were broken as you were and leave the damn past where it is. Eva is gone and no one should be blamed for it. Everyone wanted her alive"

Ending with a hard look at him, Usella walked out the room.

Ryan shut his eyes for the third time in that short moment. His hands rubbed his temple. He breaths were rasp as he exhaled. He hated it when things he never planned happened. The results never went good on him.

His eyes met Andy's stare on him. He looked away for a split second and back at her. This time, Andy quickly averted her eyes. Her head hung low staring down at the food. Her unsteady thoughts getting the best of her. Her hands were suddenly sweaty and her nerves all over the place. At that point, her only wish was to relax.

She heard Ryan's footsteps draw closer to the bed. Ryan had a hand to his pocket and the other to his side when Andy finally looked up to him

For a moment, he had his gaze fixed on her and Andy was trying as much not to back down on the stare game.

"You said you wanted to talk about something"

His voice ran through the silence. Andy looked away and toyed with her hands
