The wooden door opened to the underground cells. Jace was behind him alongside Ethan and two other.
Ryan had a wooden silver stake to his hands. It was a dark underground built for rogues and prisoners and sometimes for the pack members who disobeyed the law.
Ryan wiped his mouth with the back of his hands in that offensive hard way as he crouched down in front of the Thom last son.
'Marcia Thom' Ryan thought and nodded with a wolfish side grin. He had his eyes on him. A lot certainly has changed over the years. The all powerful Marcia Thom wasn't nothing more of a rogue under his feet now.
Ryan laughed.
"Hello Marcia"
The corner lips of the red eyes wolf hunter tugged into a smile. His peeled skin held the bars hard enough. The next second, he was laughing in a humorless calm way. Ryan raised a brow staring hardly at him. The burning rage was high enough. To kill him was becoming an option.
Slowly Marcia raised his eyes to Ryan's who already had his fixed on him. The look on Ryan was hate. He craved for the satisfaction of having his head buried underneath.
He watched Marcia tilt his head to the side, his eyes still on him and smiled, a toothy one. Ryan looked away for a split second and back at him.
"You really haven't changed now, have you?... you're still that calm self possessed Marcia even at the point of death"
Ryan's voice ran cold through the silence.
Everyone was watching. Jace was backed on the wall, a leg bent on it and his two hands in his pocket, watching the drama unfold. This was strictly the alpha's business. His opinion didn't matter unless asked.
But as always, Ryan did ask
"What shall we do to him Jace?—kill him?. He sure has gotten on every single nerve of mine"
They both were staring at each other. Marcia's now wild eyes were on Ryan's quiet ones.
Marcia stared hard on the only alpha wolf he has sought on all his life. His family had been on them for decades and never got close to hurting an alpha breed. He had been close...so close but damn loyalty and all ways it came with.
"I smell the death of an enemy"
Jace calmly said.
There was cold silence as Ryan chuckled. Jace never did fail a test. No wonder the goddess made him a right hand man for him.
"Do you have anything---anything at all Marcia Thom to say to the knight alpha?"
Marcia stared and slowly his face buckled into a laugh. They watched him turn his head to the side and spat out blood. He looked back at Ryan who had a scowl all over.
"I do not---at all have anything to say about foolish alphas that come from the Knight breed. They are simply cowards and should be treated as such but unfortunately, they sit as kings on a throne that I doubt are rightfully theirs"
Marcia certainly wasn't ready for the plunge of the wooden stake that cut through his sides. He gnawed, blood running through his mouth to the ground. There was a sharp breath in followed by heavy pants. Ryan had his head bent on the other side with a smile this time.
"You know the unfortunate fact Marcia?" Ryan had his eyes at the stake for a moment and pulled it out sharply watching him shout in pain as he held to his sides and fell to the floor.
"Even though you are a wolf hunter, you still remain a wolf and there's really nothing you can do about that silver" He paused and looked at him again. "But it isn't going to kill you---at least not yet. It will be a dream come true having you dead. A Thom wolf killed by me---, a Knight alpha but Wills won't be so happy now, will he?"
