Hailey crossed a leg on the other and sighed.

It was a cloudy morning with thunderstorms. It certainly was about to rain down soon. Hailey switched the phone to the other ear as she threw a strawberry achene into her mouth. It was barely eight in the morning and Logan was already on the line. It wasn't something she appreciated all too well.

"I will advise you little sister, to get your mind off that proud insolent man that calls himself an alpha"

Logan's voice was hard stern.

She plucked out a berry and took a bite almost so leisurely.

"At least, you have an idea why most alphas really don't like crossing his path. He really doesn't care."

"You're defending him?!....Hailey!"

She could hear the distaste in his voice when he clicked his tongue repeatedly but she had simply shrugged her shoulders in response.

There was silence afterwards. Raising her eyes to glass balustrade of her balcony, she stared at her image in her red silk night robe. She sighed again. Her Ryan would have loved what he saw on a misty Saturday morning if he was with her but no, he was so distant in every way.

As if realizing herself once again, she asked. Her voice in a whisper.

"He really said all that to you?"

She heard Logan scoff. She could imagine the unapologetic look he will have on at that moment.

"Yes he did"

Came Logan's reply and there was a beep. Hailey glanced at the phone,he had ended the call.

"Stupid fool"

She threw the phone to the couch next to her and took another sip. The rain was drizzling now. Hailey heaved and sighed loudly.

"Damn England"

The convoy stopped right in front of the marble steps that stood in a disarray fashion leading to the entrance of the house. From the tilted window, her eyes travelled to the front doors, where an aged man stood, his hands to his back watching and waiting. His eyes were on them and purposefully on her window. Andy knew there was no way he could see her but for a second there, she wasn't so sure.

His eyes were fixed on her as if reading every one of her acts. Ryan watched her subconsciously lift her hands to the pendant that laid on her neck.

He followed her sight line and lifted a brow.

Wills was obviously reading her mind. There was a connection after all. She was human, truth be told but then with a supernatural being growing inside her. A lot of feelings was going to pass through her. Not understanding them was only going to make her sensitive to danger and Wills knew that too well. That didn't stop him either.

Ryan didn't know he had shifted his gaze to her all this while until Andy had a stare deadpanned on him. He shifted awkwardly on the seat next to her. Flipping his mind back to the fact that he didn't appreciate another man reading her mind. If he wasn't prepared to do that, no one should and in second, his eyes on his father, and had blocked him off.

Andy turned back to watch the man, he had moved from the position he was earlier to the forefront of the passage where the steps stopped. This time, she was sure his eyes weren't on her, they were on Ryan's and Ryan's ones on him, not twitching a bit.

She watched the bodyguards who on a closer view at them had a communication earpiece to their ears as they ran forward to their car, encircling it and speaking through the gadget. She was stunned and calmly nervous. Thanks to the arrogant asshole, she couldn't come with Mia. She felt her breath hitch at the thought. First of all, if she was going to cry, then it would be in the fucking room they place her in.
