A Supposed End

Several weeks followed and a lot had changed between them.

Ryan listened more, stayed closer, the distant eyes weren't there anymore and he felt every pain.

He had mated her, completed their mating process and claimed her.

Andy had come to terms with the Luna everyone called her and the bows, which she still was getting accustomed to. Of course, not everybody liked her, she still got the occasional glares from some she-wolves, if she had to call them that.

Some days she glowed and other days, she was so pale. Usella who she had come to know was the pack doctor, was burdened with the duties of staying beside her in her pale days. The morning sickness had gone severe and some times, she had no appetite for food. Other days she blacked out only to wake up everytime to a crying Ryan. A lot of things did change about him, he barely was arrogant now, at least to her, he wasn't.

Mia called them monsters but that wasn't what they were. They simply were from another world she never believed existed. Their kind was growing in her and sometimes seemed to take over her, she was also in love with their kind. Although, they never said the magic words to each other but Andy could see it in his eyes, felt it in his touch and the way he looked at her. It wasn't much about his child now, it was about him....his family.

The piano that sat in his room which had become her room as well over time, was something she caught Ryan staring at on many occasions and one time she had gone for a walk with Usella and returned and had heard him play the keys but he barely continued after. She never asked why, he was going to speak when he was ready. She believed that.

"Of all faces to see in such a beautiful morning"

Jace muttered. Mason stepped in through the open door and walked past Jace who shut the door after him with curses under his breath.

He looked up to Andy and Ryan who sat entangled in each other's arm with a smirk.

"So the couples are lovey-dovey now"

He said. Ryan looked away, of course he always wants to be in the spotlight.

"Is he a wolf too?"

That had come out louder that Andy wanted it but the question tugged at her as soon as he stepped in. Mason raised a brow.

He looked down for a split moment and looked up, the smile never away from his face

"I can feel the baby is doing just fine. His power though is quite subduing, a human, I doubt can bring the powerful being into the world I know"

Jace had a frown

"Who the hell are you?"

Mason snapped his eyes to him, Ryan had spoken right after, his eyes tailed at Mason

"A Witcher. He is from the old Witchers of Relnile"

Mason narrowed his eyes with a smile at Ryan.

"You were going to find that out sooner or later anyway" he sat on the couch across Ryan "I wonder what took you so long"

"I know things when I want to know them. I don't search for answers Drue"

Mason nodded and exhaled loudly

"Fair enough"

He said.

"I smell a saddened Witcher if that's the case"

Jace said.

"I must be the one you talk of. I lost my mother this morning"

Andy had a hand to her neck instantly feeling sorry for him. Mason had seen the movement and was about to say something when Jace voice intruded

"I'm so sorry dear Witcher for such a loss. My condolences"

Mason looked away

"You can shove the damn condolences up your ass Brown. I don't give a fuck about it and for the records, my name is Mason. Do call me that"

Jace scowled. The calmness in his voice irked his being.

"What's a Witcher?"

Ryan heard Andy whisper in his ears. He smiled, staring at the two men who were having some sort of fight with their eyes. He turned to Andy

"You ask a lot of questions nowadays my love"

Andy grinned at his use of my love to her ears. It wasn't the first time he called her that, it just hit different each time. She shrugged.

"Your son is curious"

Ryan laughed. His son took most of the blames now.

"Ask me that again when next I take you to Wills study"

Andy smiled .

"Yes sir"

Mia in long, firm strides walked to the car. A hooded Daniel was in the driver's seat with a scowl.

Mai narrowed her eyes at him

"Why the face dude?"

Daniel had a 'seriously' type of look next. His voice was a pitch right after

"What fucking took you so long?"

Mai shrugged as Daniel started the car

"I was busy signing off"

Daniel scoffed. Of course, she always had something to say.

Daniel always came to pick her up every night she was off from work and when she wasn't, they spent some time together every evening, it was Mia always listening to him talk of the day's work. He had eventually opened up about his family and everything he kept within.

Mia's eyes had instantly lit up as they drove by her favourite ice cream stall but she had sobered up right after, they weren't open and she had been looking forward to it.

"You crave ice cream?"

She turned to Daniel and made a pout

"Their ice cream"

Daniel laughed. Their ice cream was surely going to be the end of her.

Mia knitted her brows in a frown as she looked out her window

"Hey man, where are you taking me to?"

Daniel glanced over at her

"My house"

Mia felt her heart stop.

"I thought you said you were never taking me there. You don't take random women to your house"

The day he said that came running through his mind instantly. That had been the night after the drama with the D'Knights and going through pain of losing a woman he had come to love even without knowing her. Mia had helped with the first aid in the restaurant where he ended up in that night. But fuck that, it's been six months now and she no longer was a random woman. She was closer than a friend now. He turned his eyes to her, Mia had hers fixed on him, waiting for an answer. She knew every part of him now and knew he was deep in thoughts.

"You're my woman now"

That had slipped out before he could stop it but slowly the thought went comfortable with him

Mia had a plain look at his words and awkwardly looked away, she scrunched up her nose

"If that's the way you ask a lady out Daniel Montario, then damn you!"

Daniel chuckled which turned into a full blown laughter. Mia smiled and looked away, she could feel her heart beating hard and some butterflies somewhere in her belly. She kind of looked forward to this day in the past six months.
