You were lost for words, so much coming to your mind and nothing coming out.
"Why?" Was what you replied.

"What if they say no?"

You could feel a tear begin to flow down your face.
"I'm sorry, but I think it's best this way. We could still stay as friends if that's what you want."

Your girlfriend gave me one last hug before saying her final words to me.

You watched her as she walked down the hall, as you stood there, thinking over all the things she had just said to you. Was I that bad? So bad that I didn't even realize?
You slowly walked away, going down the hall with your hoodie over your head, the tear still flowing down, not stopping anytime soon.
