Izuku's father paused, the glare on his face slipping away, he looked down at the boy with a blank face before asking in a dark tone "What is it? Show it to me" the man sat down on the chair waiting for Izuku to show his quirk.

Izuku nodded his head rapidly before rushing to stand in front of his father, he thought about what to do to show his father his quirk and then smiled when the perfect idea hit him, Izuku turned to face the table and spoke "Daddy has drinks on the table"

The man stared at his son confused until the table was covered with full beer bottles, the man frowned feeling his anger rise, he knew the boys quirk was a mutation from his birth fathers, the man had a voice activated quirk so it made sense Izuku's was from his side of the family.

The man couldn't help his anger rising at the thought, he knew Inko was pregnant when they met but he loved her so much it didn't matter to him, Inko had told him about how she got pregnant and he was willing to put that aside for her.

When she had called him one day telling him she was taking Izuku to the hospital only to get another call telling him she had been hit by a drunk driver killing her instantly he hated the child for taking her away from him.

The fact the love of his life left him behind with another mans child angered the man to no end, and now that boy had a quirk just like that mans? The boy looked so exited too, what right did he have to feel happiness when he is in pain?

Hizashi Midoriya regretted ever adopting Izuku for his wife, he hated how the boys hair was a mix of his wife's and the man she was with before him, he hated the boy for having a quirk just like that mans.

Hizashi didn't have a family so when he met a woman crying on the street after the love of her life left her, he thought it was his chance, when she found out a couple weeks later that she was pregnant he stayed with her.

Hizashi stood up from the couch as his anger boiled inside of him, he looked down at the boy who was beaming up at him, his hand made contact with the young boys cheek as he sent a hard slap to his face.

Izuku fell to the floor cupping his warm cheek in his hand as tears began to fall down his cheek, he didn't understand why his father hit him, wasn't he useful now? Didn't his father feel proud yet?

"How dare you show me such a disgraceful quirk with a smile, did you really think i would be happy? You are useless and nothing will change that" his father spat in disgust "But daddy i..." Izuku tried to speak but his father kicked him in his stomach.

Izuku gasped trying to catch his breath as his father glared down at him "Don't fucking talk to me you useless brat, are you trying to use your quirk on me? I bet you've already used it on me right? You have a villains quirk.. how could i ever love you"

Izuku cried as his fathers words cut through him like a knife, he was so happy when his quirk came but now he couldn't feel anything but disappointment, he had a villains quirk? Did that mean his father would never love him?

Izuku screamed in pain when his father grabbed his arm in a bruising grip, Izuku could feel his fathers nails digging into his skin, he begged and pleaded as he was dragged down the basement like Hisashi always does when he is extremely mad.

Izuku was slammed onto the ground causing the wind to be knocked out of him, he desperately tried to suck in a breath but he couldn't when his father slammed his foot into his back, Izuku coughed trying to crawl away.

His father laughed at his useless fighting, kicking him in the side, there was a sickening crack as a couple of his ribs snapped under the force, Izuku cried harder from the pain but his father wasn't done yet.

Izuku watched in horror as his father picked up the large kitchen knife he had left down here from Izuku's last punishment "Daddy no, please I'll be good. Daddy ple..." Izuku was cut off by a scream as his father slammed the knife into Izuku's small thigh.

His father stabbed him again this time in the arm, Hisashi smirked down at the sobbing boy as blood poured out of his open wounds "This is what happens when you disobey me, don't you ever open your disgusting mouth again.

If i hear your voice you will be punished, do you understand me?" Izuku nodded his head as his body shook in both pain and fear, his father snickered down at him but soon turned around to leave.

Izuku cried as he was left in the cold dark room alone 'Daddy still hates me, i didn't know my quirk was for a villain. Maybe if i don't use it daddy will learn to love me? But i saw on the T.V that an untrained quirk is dangerous.

I could train my quirk while I'm alone but i won't say anything around daddy' with his mind made up Izuku sniffed and wiped away his tears as best he could, he looked at his arm and thigh as blood continued to leak out of his injuries.

The boy began to wonder how powerful his quirk was, he wondered to what extent his quirk would work, he bit his lip and placed a hand over his broken rib cage "My ouchies are healed" he whispered voice hoarse from screaming.

What happened next was strange, Izuku could feel his throat warm up slightly, it didn't hurt but it felt more like a gentle hug around his neck, soon he felt all of the pain go away, he looked down at his side lifting his shirt.

There was nothing there at all, he stared with wide eyes and then looked at his arm where his father had stabbed him, instead of an open wound leaking with blood he found a light pink scar on his forearm, he sat up quickly looking down at his thigh.

The same little pink scar ran over his delicate skin as if it was an old wound, Izuku smiled and opened his mouth to squeal in excitement but found he couldn't speak, bought his hand up to his throat in shock.

'Why can't i speak? Is it because i used my quirk? But it didn't do this before?' Izuku decided to ignore the situation for now, he stood up finding it strange to be leaving the basement with zero pain.

He walked up the stairs as quietly as he could and opened the door, his father was nowhere in sight so he sighed in relief stepping into the hall, he tiptoed his way up the stairs and down the hall, he opened the door to his room and closed it behind him with a deep sigh.

He turned around smiling when he saw Arco sleeping peacefully perched on his window sill, he walked over to the loose floorboard on the ground pulling it up to reveal his notebook and pencil, he was gifted the notebook from the old lady at the library.

Izuku was never allowed things like this so he kept it hidden from his father, he used the notebook whenever he had things he wanted to remember or things he found interesting, this time he wrote down every time he used his quirk unknowingly.

He also wrote down when he used it to heal himself, the more he wrote the more he wondered if the loss of his voice was a drawback, summoning a few things seemed like nothing compared to healing extreme injuries.

He began to write down things he should try to do with his quirk and ways he could fix his quirk drawback, he knew he would get to practice healing quite a lot because his father was always punishing him, he nodded his head knowing he wanted to try his hardest to master his quirk.

Maybe if he mastered his quirk and became a hero his father would be proud? Maybe his father will love him one day? Izuku knew parents were supposed to love their children just like children have to love their parents.

Izuku let out a small yawn and figured he should get some sleep, he hid away his notebook and put the floorboard back in it's place, he crawled over to his blanket where Arco still slept and gently picked up the bird.

He curled up in the corner with the blanket covering him, he placed Arco back on the blanket and watched the bird shift around until she was comfortable, he pouted and sighed.

'I'll make her a bed tomorrow, i can't do it yet because i lost my voice' Izuku sighed and closed his eyes letting his sleepiness take over as he drifted off to sleep.
