Chapter Fourteen

Bangtan University was in uproar since a black Lamborghini stopped at the College of Fine Arts of BNU. The cause of the uproar wasn't the car but instead the person who got down from the unfamiliar rich car. Well, it would most certainly be the talk of the town if the most popular Professor of the University, who was never seen with someone other than his friend Chim and some college colleagues, would suddenly be seen getting out of a rich car with a mysterious driver.

Speculations and rumours had spread throughout the University. From students to staff members, everyone was curious to know who that mysterious driver was and most importantly what was the relationship between the mysterious driver and their godly Professor Kim. People were circulating the pictures some students clicked in the morning on the college groups. It was big news for the entire campus after a long time.

The story only got more intriguing when some students in the morning class of Professor Kim caught a big flashy rock on his ring finger. Pictures of their Professor Kim engrossed in giving the lecture by using his hands gestures got circulated on the internet. People zoomed in till a pixelated image of probably a very beautiful ring cemented the rumours of its sighting. Many hearts feared the most probable explanation behind the ring, that Professor Kim is engaged. Some ignored and laughed in denial, obviously the ring was a fashion statement and nothing more, and they were ready to even fight for this.

But, the common conclusion was that the hallways of College of Arts was a busy place today with a lot of mumerings, curious stares and hushings. All this was making the person, who was at the locus of all the chaos, growingly frustrated. Taehyung shot a student an eye glare, clearly telling them to stop staring and mind their own business. But it seems like today, Taehyung's business was everyone's business. As he saw many others doing the same. Taehyung sighed frustratedly. This wouldn't have happened if Jungkook had just listened to him.

[4 Hours Before]

"Hmm... you can drop me here..." Taehyung spoke while removing his seat belt.

Jungkook looked around and it was really in the middle of nowhere. "Here...? Your University is at least 5 minutes away and that too by car..." Jungkook looked at the other questionably.

"Hmm... then drop me a little far from the gate..." Taehyung spoke wearily.
"But isn't the College of Arts at the far end of the campus? You want to walk all the way there? In this humid climate?" Jungkook asked. His eyebrows furrowing deeper.

"Hmm... yes?" Taehyung spoke with uncertainty.

"But why? Come on, I can drop you at your College." Jungkook offered.

'Why are you insisting on this so much? Uh!' Taehyung wanted to roll his eyes.

"No it's completely fine! You are probably running late for your company. You still have a long way to drive. I don't want to trouble you more." Taehyung meekly replied. He was just making excuses on the spot.

"Ah! A five more minutes of drive won't push me behind. It's alright Taehyung. You don't have to be so considerate." Jungkook replied with a bunny smile making his eyes crinkle.

"Bitch! No one's considerate here! I just don't want unwanted attention." Taehyung mumbled under his breath. But before Taehyung could protest further he saw Jungkook stopping at the entrance of the university for security clearance. Taehyung was dumbfounded when windows to his side rolled down, exposing his face to the security guard. The security guard recognised him and bowed to him. Taehyung came out of his daze and bowed his head in return with a small greeting.
