Last night was epic. I woke up and it was 7:30 in the morning. The sun is up and it feels great. I made coffee for myself and soon, with my girlfriend. It sounds exciting. It's also Saturday! I have no classes today and I get to do stuff that I can't do when I have classes. Plan a superhero movie marathon, binge watch a show on Netflix, read some new comics from my pile of comics, redecorate my comic book cave or maybe, just surf the internet. Surf.....why not, I'll drive myself to the beach for once in a while. It's only kilometers from here. That sounds great! I'm such a genius!
I drove myself to the beach and the weather is just, hot. There are a lot of people and I haven't swim for like, months. I'm ready to get back to the water. It kinds sucks that I'm alone. I should've called my friends but they might be busy.
"ARTHUR!!!!!!"
Someone yelled my name while I was in the water.
"Arthur, my man!!!"
"Chris? Is that you? How did you find me?"
"I didn't even know you were here."
"Hey, it's Michael......and Dustin??!."
"Arthur! What's up, dude!" Michael yelled.
"Long time no see, my friend!" Dustin said.
"The three of us saw each other at a mall in Chicago. We planned to go here in Cali." Chris said.
"You could've messaged me on Skype, Facebook. The internet is full of things, man!"
"We were just busy, Arthur. You look fit, by the way. Haha." Michael said.
"Hey, do you wanna grab something to eat? I'll order for you guys."
So the four of us had a mini reunion. I cannot believe this will happen again. I missed them and there will be more of this. It's about time we hang out.
"So, how's it been, Arthur? Must been a great place you got here in Cali....." Dustin asked.
"Yeah. Bought a small place near UCLA. I really missed you guys. Group hug!!!"
"So, is there a special someone right now, Arthur?" Michael asked.
"Sarah is moving in about three months...."
"Sarah Thompson??! Dude!! The girl of your dreams! Man, that sounds awesome! We're happy for you, Arthur.."
"Thanks. I really miss the Charlton days. One of the best times of my life. High school..."
"We do, too. We just talked about the fun memories we had earlier in the car." Chris replied.
"Order what you want guys, Cali food is life...."
We had an awesome lunch. Didn't expect to see them here. We had fun swimming and we stayed for a couple of hours in the sun. Our skin became brown.
"So, when are you leaving California?"
"Maybe two or three days from now... I still have some paper work to do in Cleveland. Architect stuff...." Michael replied.
"Los Angeles is just awesome. You should visit New York, dude. It's where the party never stops!" Chris replied.
"Really nothing much in Milwaukee....Me and my parents moved there and the new house is just awesome." Dustin replied.
"Sounds great. The things that are happening in our lives. Really happy for all of us. Hey, you guys wanna stay in my house while you're on vacation?"
"That sounds awesome, Arthur!" Michael replied.
I let them stay at my house. It was really fun. It felt like a slumber party....we had a couple of stories shared, horror stories told and an amazing time. I didn't attend my classes on Monday and Tuesday. I spent time with them. It was just amazing. Don't forget the movie marathon, it was fun. Before they left, I gave them something to remember. A friendship bracelet. It wasn't actually a friendship bracelet but was neon colored bracelets....I hope they don't misplace it.
"Thanks a lot, Arthur! We'll miss you! Just tell us the batch's reunion. Can't wait to see them!" Dustin said.
"Yeah, I will. Take care, guys. Stay safe!"
