The Christmas contest is over. I decided to give this teddy bear to someone and I can't really choose whom I'll give it to. I would look like I'm trying too hard to get Skye if I'll give it to her. I decided to give it to Lauren instead.

"Hey, Lauren, look, there's a bear on your desk."

"For me? Is this from you Dustin?"

"Haha of course not. It's for you. Arthur gave it to you."

"You gotta be kidding me. It's for Skye, the girl he loves."

"It's for you, Lauren. Happy Valentine's Day."

"Thanks....Arthur.........." I know she blushed, even if she denies it. I like Skye but I also like Lauren.

Since then, we hung out, ate lunch together. I started think that I must move on with Skye. I kept always trying but she still has a place inside my heart. So Lauren and I are now friends and we promised that we would never have feelings for each other. So all I can do is just tell her the stuff my heart is feeling at the moment. We always chat online after school and even say good morning at midnight. Everybody in school thinks we're together but I guess I hope we are. But she says that we will just be friends. The most painful seven letter word that you can here from a girl or a boy you really like. I'm used to hearing that word ever since I went to Charlton. I'm not even surprised anymore whenever they say that. I guess I can't really find a perfect girl in my life. Not even, Lauren.

It's the last day of our ninth grade. Sarah Thompson was first honor overall in our batch and a big win for our section, since she's my classmate. I'm still hanging on in the middle and was top 27 overall out of 46. I guess it's another year that were filled with memories to keep and to throw in the trash can.

So like I asked my parents if we could go to Miami to have a vacation. They eventually said yes and off we go! We first checked in to this hotel near the beach. As we go inside our hotel room, there's this girl along the corridor whom I know of.

"Skye?"

"Arthur!"

"Hey, it's a small world! What are you doing here?"

"Taking a vacation, I guess me and my family needed one since I was second honor."

"Yeah, congratulations, by the way. I didn't see you after the recognition day."

"Oh, well, Dylan and I went to celebrate with our families."

"That seems wonderful."

"Hey, are you going down to the beach?"

"Yeah. After we unpack."

"Hey, do you wanna come with me?"

"Sure. I guess I needed someone to talk to right now."

"Great!" I'm so excited to see her in bikini! Lol, what did I just say?

"I see a blush in there, son."

"I'm not blushing, dad."

"I bet you and Skye are....you know..."

"We're just friends, mom. She's with Dylan, anyway."

"Awww...I hope one day, you find a girl like her."

"Yeah........I hope so....."

I knocked on Skye's hotel room and we're about to go to the beach.

"Hi, Mrs. Alexander, I'm here to pick up Skye."

"Hi, Arthur!"

"Hi!"

We went down to the beach and it was 3 pm and the sun's still hot. She was stunning as always. I took this opportunity to spend time with her. We had ice cream at this bar near the beach, got hena tattoos, took selfies, made sand castles and talked.

"So, how are you and Dylan?"

"We're fine. I just wished his parents let him to come join me.....and you...here...so any new crushes?"

"Who. Me?"

"Lauren."

"Oh..we're just friends.."

"Those three words....."

"What's wrong? We're really just friends. We promised that we won't have feelings for each other."

"Awww but do you really like her?"

"A bit."

"Go tell her, Arthur."

"We made a pact."

"Haha. Anyways, do I look okay with this? This bikini?"

"Umm..yeah....you look stunning."

"Hahaha...oh Arthur...."

"You really do...."

"Thanks. 😝"

"As days go by, you keep getting thinner and thinner. Any tips, Arthur?"

"Haha. I just eat less and run every morning."

"Nice! Hey, do you want to swim? We've been here for about two hours and we're still not yet swimming."

"Can you swim?"

"No."

"I can teach you." So we swam. I taught her some basic stuff since I took classes when I was in fifth grade.

"I'm drowning!!"

"I'm here, Skye. I won't leave you."

"Thanks."

(whispers) "I will never leave you."

"Hey, it's almost seven. Wanna go back to the hotel?"

"Yeah, sure."

"I have to change. Can you please come with me?"

"Sure."

"My shirt, please.....Don't look, Arthur!"

"I promise, I won't"

"Thanks!"

"No problem."

We were in Miami for three days and we went back to Chicago. I had to say goodbye to Skye and we'll get to see again as soon as the school starts again.
