Alex eventually reached the side of the stage, where a messy pile of tablets could be found.
These tablets each contained a digital list of the rules of the 'Fatal Frolic', the life or death game that these twelve people had been forced into.
They were still utterly confused, with not a single memory in their heads that seemed to explain these bizarre circumstances.
The dread that had built up within Alex had reached its peak, and he held his trembling hand over his mouth nervously as he turned his gaze back to the seats, watching the last few prisoners hesitantly make their way down to collect a tablet of their own.
He let out a long sigh, before finally reaching down and picking up one of the many tablets.
He looked back at the others again, noticing many of them were already reading through the rules with nervous and puzzled looks on their faces.
His expression and feelings were no different.
After breathing out deeply hoping to clear his nerves once more, he firmly pressed the power button and began looking through the rules of the Fatal Frolic as they quickly emitted brightly on the screen.
He lightly groaned as he hastily read through the grueling rules.
Once he had finished, he immediately shut off the tablet and looked up at everyone else to examine their reactions.
Nathan was biting his fingers once again.
Violet's pupils had dilated, but her expression remained fairly neutral and unaffected.
Adam and Dante looked angry more than anything, Dante more so.
The others also had mixed reactions of anger, sadness, and confusion.
Alex however, didn't really know how he felt.
He tended to be quite a level-headed guy who had good control and understanding over his emotions, but right now he was confused about how he was supposed to feel.
His legs felt numb and his eyes were stinging, likely due to how bright the tablet shone on his face as he read the rules.
This relentless confusion he felt continued to bring him great stress, so much so that he had even become unaware of how he felt about all of this.
It truly was a whirlwind of disjointed thoughts and emotions that he was feeling, and he was struggling to regain control of them.
And then, he noticed something that especially caught his attention.
"Guys!" He exclaimed. "Rule number one... maybe I'm overthinking it, but- would this count for like- cans of soda and food wrapping and stuff? I mean... it does say *nothing* out of the rooms can be damaged..."
*NO. CONSUMABLE ITEMS ARE AN EXCEPTION.*
"Okay..." Alex sighed. "What about sleeping? Can we do that WITHOUT our clothes?"
*YES. THE CLOTHING RULE DOES NOT APPLY TO SLEEPING. YOU CAN WEAR WHAT YOU LIKE TO BED. DON'T BE STUPID.*
"Oh-" he laughed awkwardly. "Gah-!" Then, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his head, causing his tablet to slip out of his hand and drop to the hard ground, leading everyone to quickly turn and look at him in shock.
"Aghhh, man-!" He shouted as he gripped his forehead and closed his shakey eyelids in distress.
Many of them looked at him with shocked or disturbed expressions, upon realising what this mistake could have meant for him.
