After absolutely stuffing his face with food the day before, Alex felt much better by the next one.

It was obviously terrible that Hannah had died, and he felt a lot of pain from her death, but in a way, she died for a noble cause as she saved everybody else from starvation.

She likely didn't know that as she attempted to eat, but Alex hoped that somehow, she knew how important her death actually was.

She saved them all, whether she knew it or not.

Alex spent a large portion of yesterday afternoon eating in the dining hall, as did most others except for Dante and Adam.

After his feast, Alex could barely walk, but he felt much better now and like a new man, except for how he felt about Hannah.

To match his newly found sense of fulfilment, he slipped into a new outfit, stepped outside, and found Adam standing against the wall with a drink in hand.

He slowly approached him, but weirdly hesitated, as though intimidated by his bizarre, mystery-filled statements yesterday.

However, he had grown fond of Adam by now. There was no need for him to be nervous speaking to him.

He just felt strange about it, given his identity being revealed yesterday and his strange statements that suggested he knew more than he let on.

"G'morning, Adam," Alex greeted as he rest his foot against the wall.

"Good morning," Adam calmly replied, taking a sip of his coffee.

"So, uh..." Alex awkwardly laughed, "I'm just gonna get right to the point. What were you talking about yesterday?"

"I told you. It'll all become clear in due time."

"What does that mean?!" Alex impatiently asked.

"I'm on the verge of discovering something big. I'm going to see if I can use Fate's help to do it," he said as he stepped forward and looked into one of the cameras in the corner.

"You're teaming up with Fate??"

"Don't misunderstand," Adam replied, setting down his coffee and clearing his throat. "Fate? Are you listening? I have a favour to ask."

He called for Fate like a madman, and if they never responded, he would've looked crazy.

But, luckily for him, the masked mastermind was listening in, and their attention had been piqued.

*WHAT IS IT YOU REQUEST, ADAM COLONEL?*

"As far as I am aware, there is no rule against exploring somebody else's room, is there?" He smugly asked.

*WHY DO YOU ASK?*

"Can I explore Aurora's room?" He bluntly asked. "I can't imagine you'd deny me access unless it was an inconvenience to you."

"Wha-?!" Alex gasped.

*HMMMM. WELL, OKAY. THE DOOR IS UNLOCKED.*

And just like that, they heard a beep, and Aurora's room door clicked straight open.

Fate sounded rather hesitant there, which they rarely did, suggesting there actually might be something in her room that would be of the prisoners' benefit.

"Perfect," Adam smiled.

"Wha- what are you up to?!" Alex confusedly asked.

"Aurora was very different to us from the very beginning, wasn't she?" Adam asked.

"I-I suppose, but- what will checking her room do? She's been dead for weeks!" Alex reminded him.

"This whole time I have figured she knew something we didn't, so now, I decided to take a risk and ask Fate directly if I could check her room."
