Unlike the previous morning, Alex woke up fairly naturally on his third day, at around 8:30 am.

He could hear what sounded like an argument going on outside between two of the others. Out of pure curiosity, he decided to shove on his clothes and wander outside to check on them.

He still felt pretty mentally worn out, but seeing what they were up to would be something to easily distract him from his messy thoughts.

And, they were getting pretty annoying, and loud, which didn't exactly help him much.

"Foreign Revenge 2 is SO obviously better than the original!" Jobari shouted.

"But they removed Kivisto, the BEST character!" Nathan shouted back.

"Kivisto?! Vega solos her a DOZEN times! Kivisto is MID!"

"No, YOU'RE mid!"

"Guys!" Alex shouted as he attempted to shield his eyes from the bright lights on the ceiling. "What the hell are you babbling about?"

"This guy," Jobari said, pointing sharply at Nathan, "likes Olivia more than Vega!"

"That's President Kivisto to you!" Nathan corrected nerdily.

"Who cares? It's not like she's a real president! And, she sucks anyway, so she gets NO respect from me!"

"I have no idea what's going on here!" Alex shouted.

"Have you seriously not played Foreign Revenge?" Jobari asked.

"No? What the hell is that?"

"Ohhh, this guy canNOT be serious."

"He isn't based... he's cringe. Yikers," Nathan cringed.

"What's the issue? Is this 'Foreign Revenge' some sacred media to you fools?"

"Oh," Jobari uttered, pointing down into the hall, "get in that damn tech room, pick up a console, and play the damn thing! You will NOT regret it, believe me!"

"Yeah!" Nathan agreed, punching the air. "What he said, you gotta bee leaf us!"

The tech room was one of the many facilities they had access to, and it was fully stocked up with countless devices from every generation of technology.

Phones, smartphones, PCs, video game consoles, etc. However, unluckily, none of these devices stored any prior data and did not have internet access. So, unfortunately, they had no way of confirming if the world was really destroyed or not.

"Okay, okay, fine! Jeez..." Alex defeatedly said, releasing a heavy sigh as he slowly wandered down the hall in search of the tech room.

There were signs atop each door telling you what it was used for. There was every service they could ever want, which was likely done deliberately by Fate as a way to keep them in line, so they don't wish to escape.

And yet, the curiosity that stems from the whole situation would do the opposite, they'd want to leave to know the truth.

The actions of Fate already seemed to have contradictory intentions, creating further confusion within the group, as things truly did seem totally hopeless.

Whatever lay in the future for them... it was for sure uncertain, Alex thought.

Eventually, after some seemingly aimless walking, he finally reached the tech room.

Doing so, he calmly opened the door and was ready to look around.

As he glanced inside and turned the corner to gaze over toward the corner, he noticed something strange.
