El's POV

El's eyes fluttered open. Her head hurt.. it felt like someone was hitting her over and over with a hammer. THUMP... THUMP.. THUMP. She winced and tried to reach up to soothe the pain but realised she couldn't move her arms. Glancing down in disbelief, she saw that it was because her arms were tied down at the sides of her. She was sat upright on a chair.. not the most comfortable.. it was quite stiff. Her legs were also bound, by what felt like rough nylon rope.
What's going on? Why was she tied to a chair?
Her natural instinct kicked in and she felt ready for battle. Summoning all of her strength, she was going to break free from the rope and face whatever danger awaits. Calling upon her powers, she felt a familiar block. What is this? She felt nothing, not an ounce of power. It suddenly clicked. She felt the familiar device around her neck, suffocating and drowning out her abilities.
Instant panic set in as she started thrashing around manically trying free herself.
"You'll only hurt yourself El" said an unfamiliar, raspy voice.
"Who's there?" She asked.
A light flickered in El's peripheral vision and she glanced towards it. A man sat on a torn apart club chair, it's frayed rips exposing the yellowed wool underneath. This man seemed very calm and sure of himself. It was hard to make out what he was wearing as El's eyes hadn't quite adjusted to the light yet.
"Who are you?" She questioned, wondering what this man wanted with her, "are you government?".
The man let out an amused laugh, almost mocking her. He stood up and started walking towards El, but his movements seemed forcefully slow.
"You can call me the 'Hero of Hawkins'" he said as he dragged a bar stool across the floor to sit in front of El. Now that El could see more clearly she took a better look at this man. He had black ripped jeans that were fraying at the knees and a black leather jacket that was scuffed and tattered. Underneath the jacket, he wore a dishevelled HellFire Club t-shirt. A few silver rings that looked like skulls adorned his fingers. His curly brown hair looked like it needed brushing. WAIT! HELLFIRE? Quick realisation spread through El. Of course she recognised this man! He'd been all over the news for murder, although that wasn't true.
"Eddie? Eddie Munson?" She questioned.
"The one and only baby!" He grinned and spread his arms in a grand gesture. El couldn't help but notice that a pair of sharp, elongated teeth accentuated his smile, and his eyes had an almost purple tint to them.
"But how? We thought you were dead.. how are you alive?" Asked El, her confusion very clear.
"Well, I wouldn't go as far as 'alive', more like... undead." He responded, yet El noticed he failed to answer her last question.
"Did Vecna do this to you?" El asked, ever so softly.
Eddie did not answer. Instead, he just stared at her. It made her feel a little uncomfortable and she started fidgeting, her nails scratching the wood of the chair.
"Y/N has been in a bad way since you... now that you're back, are you going to see her?" El felt nervous, like she kept having to ask questions to buy some time.. but for what, she wasn't sure.
"I have seen Y/N. I've been watching you guys for a few days now. She needs to stay away from me" Eddie replied, seeming annoyed.
"Why? They all miss you terribly! Especially Y/N and Dustin! They'll be so happy to hear that you're ali- undead"
"I'm not here for them El, I'm here for you. My heart no longer beats, therefore I no longer feel. I've been tasked with one thing, and when I have finished, I am to return. So you see, it's best they do not know and they do not see me" Eddie's voice had taken on a chilling tone. El knew what he meant.. if he was here to help her, she wouldn't be bound and tied with her powers blocked.. so it must mean that he was here to kill her, but she asked all the same.. buying whatever time she could.
"What do you mean you're here for me? What have I ever done to you?" She tried so hard to show no fear, but her waivering voice gave her away.
"I'm here because my master wants you dead, and when you're dead, he wants others like you dead. You have done nothing to me El, but you keep getting in the way of my masters grand plans. To fulfil his destiny, you need to be destroyed." He said so coldly, no emotion showing in his voice.
"Others like me?" El choked out as her heart started to race.
"Yes El, 'the gifted, the superheroes', whatever you want to call it. I'm here to kill all subjects from Hawkins Lab, to finish what HE had started, and it begins with you" he explained as he pointed at her. The index finger that he used to point started growing and his black nails turned into sharp talons. El recognised it straight away.. Eddie's hand looked the exact same as Vecnas.

Your POV

"We've been looking for hours! My feet hurt" exclaimed Robin.
"Wait wait wait, look! We're definitely heading in the right direction" said Dustin excitedly.
You all gathered round Dustin to take a look at the compass. It had finally started messing up.. not something you'd usually be happy about but this definitely confirmed that there was a Gate somewhere.
You all headed off in the direction that the compass showed you, and before too long Dustin made you all stop.
"We're here" he whispered, "do you guys see that? Just through those trees".
You all turned in the direction he was pointing, and sure enough, you could just about make out an old Cabin. That must be where El is.
You scout around the outside of the Cabin and came to find that there were two doors. With that, you all thought it best that half of you go in through the front and half through the back.
Teamed up with Steve, Dustin and Robin you descend upon the Cabin. Steve throws open the door so quickly that it falls apart.
"Nice one Steve" mocked Dustin.
You all rush in, geared up and ready for a fight, but stumble into an empty room. The rest of the gang rush into the room at the same time as you. There's only two other doors inside this cabin, but they are wide open and empty too.
"Look at this" Dustin interrupted the silence of the room. You take a look at the compass he's holding in his hands... only to find it working. Completely fine, as if nothing had happened. What's going on?
"Gates don't just move... it's like it's just.. gone?" Steve says.
"Well it definitely looks like someone was held captive here" Mike gestures towards the left side of the room. There sat a wooden chair, with Nylon ropes loosely hanging off the legs and a bar stool directly in front of it. You walk over to inspect the scene and catch a glimpse of something unexpected.
"I think it was El.. and I think she's left us a clue" you say to the others.
Just on the side of the wooden chair, you could see that it had been chipped away, the reveal the initials 'E.M'. Eddie Munson.
"Well, that confirms Eddie has her.. and also confirms that he's now evil" triumphed Steve, happy to know that he was right all along.
Your heart starts to sink in your chest. Eddie. Your Eddie. You couldn't imagine a worse scenario. Your love had come back to life, a miracle in its self.. but he had come back evil and intent on hurting your friends. Would you rather he was dead? Probably. You could live with the pain and suffering. Knowing that he was out there, evil, wanting to hurt your friends... made you want to crawl up into a ball, fall asleep and never wake up. But you have to be strong, you have to help your friends rescue El, and maybe, just maybe.. there would be a way to save Eddie.
