KAS The Bloody Handed

Pre battle

Your POV

Hopper returned to Mikes house to explain to everyone what he'd found out. How horrific and utterly devastating. Hopper had decided that there was no other choice but to call Vecna out. It was now or never. You made sure you all had the necessary equipment and made your way to the big open space in the middle of the forest. If Vecna wanted you, he would come to you. He probably thought you wouldn't try to kill 'Max' and he would be safe.. well, he was kind of right. How did he even know that Max's body was still 'alive'?
Between Hopper's and Steve's cars you made your way to the woods. Pulling up just beside the spot you'd come to know so well, Hopper turned to those of you in his car.
"Guys, we all stick together, side by side. We don't know what's gonna happen, and I won't lose a single one you" he commanded. You all nodded in agreement. Everyone got out of the cars and made their way to the centre of the clearing. You all stood in a circle... just waiting. It was quite the scene; Hopper and Wayne had their guns loaded, in a stand off stance. Steve had his nail ridden baseball bat. Dustin, Mike, Lucas and Will had makeshift spears and shurikens, which were like ninja stars.. but home made they looked more like razor discs. You and Robin had knives; all sorts from the kitchen. El and Kali didn't have any weapons, they didn't really need them, and Eddie had the Sword of Kas and his shield. It really did look like you were acting out a scene from Dungeons and Dragons... but where was the villain?
Just as you thought it, a rustling noise came from... well it came from all around. Slowly but surely, a load of demo dogs appeared behind the line of trees. They were everywhere. Ah shit.
"El, Kali... do it now" Hopper whispered. You watched as the girls summoned their powers to the edge of their fingertips, ready to strike at anything that came at you.
"Now now, there's no need for all the dramatics" boomed a voice across the clearing. Vecna. It was strange hearing his true voice come out of Max's mouth. He appeared just behind the demo dogs to the east side. He walked slowly, but with precision, until he was standing just in front of them. 'Max's' hand elongated... it grew into Vecnas long pointed hand and started petting the dogs as if they were tame animals.
"What do you want? You don't really think we're gonna let you hurt El do you?" Hopper growled.
"I WANT you to understand that your attempts to defeat me are futile. No matter what little tricks you picked up along the way" he growled as he pointed his black claw towards Kali and Eddie. God it was so surreal hearing Vecnas booming voice come from Max's body. So creepy.
"You don't know what we're capable of" El shouted back.
"Number eleven..." he smirked, "I've missed you. It's not too late to change your mind... you know you can't win.. join me" he beckoned.
El let out the most sarcastic laugh you'd ever heard... well that was his answer right there.
"I thought you mi—" but he was cut off. El meant business. You glanced over and saw both Kali and El with their arms extended; they had thrown a massive blast of power towards Vecna... but he batted it off like a fly.  He raised an eyebrow towards the girls and made one low, loud whistle. About ten demo dogs came rushing towards the group. When they were about half way towards you they suddenly stopped and started whining. El and Kali put up a barrier, just big enough for them not to be able to jump over. They started running towards the edges of the barrier to try and get through, but again, Kali and El made it extend all the way around the group. You were closed in. You started breathing heavily, feeling a bit claustrophobic... then started repeating the mantra in your head 'it's not real, it's not real'.
"Clever!" Vecna called out, "but not good enough!". He made another whistle sound and the dogs snapped right back into action. They threw themselves at the barrier with no care in the world... and as it wasn't real they jumped straight through.
Hopper and Wayne were ready; they shot down at least six of them before they reached the group. Eddie sliced one completely in half before it reached you, but you were terrified. It was the scariest creature coming straight for you, snapping its hundreds of teeth ready to bite your face off. You crouched down low into a feral position... god you felt so useless, but you couldn't go up against these things! Dustin, Mike and Will managed to stop another one in its tracks... you didn't see how but it looked pretty mashed up. You heard screaming and grunting and you whipped around to see one of the feral things on top of Steve. El made that one implode from the inside... you were all splattered with demo guts and blood. You felt sick. There was one left.. and Robin and Lucas seemed to be wrestling with it. It looked pretty wounded, but again El and Kali sorted that one out. This was far too gruesome for you. Nobody was injured... that seemed easy. Too easy.
"That was just a taster... I can keep going with this... but can you keep up?" Vecnas voice carried across the clearing. He whistled again, but this time double the amount of dogs came rushing at you. Between everyone they were taken down again.. each and every last one of them, but the gang looked a bit worn down this time.
"Shall we go again?" Vecna taunted. He didn't care for these creatures.. they were just soldiers being sent to their death.
El, Kali and Eddie made the scene change. A huge crack appeared between all of you and Vecna. Boiling lava was spurting out of the earth and it distracted the demo dogs. The gap was also large enough for them not to jump over. Vecna let out a cruel laugh.
"This is pointless. Just accept your death easily, although... this is much more fun" he snarkily sneered. He changed his tactics this time. He snapped his grim fingers and you watched as more figures started appearing at the tree line. Demgorgans this time. Fantastic. They stood beside Vecna and the atmosphere shifted... he had an unlimited army... and we were seven humans, two powerful humans... and a vampire.
"I'm not fooled by your mind games!" Vecna shouted. He sent a lot of demogorgans your way... too many too count. Hopper nudged El and whispered "it's time". El, Kali and Eddie summoned their power and aimed it towards the monsters. They stopped. Just frozen in time. El smirked as she watched Vecna be taken by surprise. The demogorgans stood up straight, very human like and started walking towards the group. They made a circle around you and your friends and faced Vecna.
"New tricks... do you like them?" El taunted him.
"You can't keep this up for long" he sneered back.
"Try me" El threw back. The Power3 stretched out their manipulation to include the demo dogs too. Now you had the army, and did Vecna look... worried? They made the demogorgans March towards Vecna in unison.
"Let's end this!" Screamed Eddie as he too started marching towards him, Sword in hand. Vecna started backing up slowly... but he was trapped. There was no where to run that you wouldn't find him. Then something strange happened. As Eddie sped up with vampire speed towards him, you saw the life leave 'Max's' eyes... and her body just crumpled. At the same time, the creatures all around just vanished into thin air. POOF! Gone. Shit... that was your chance and he'd retreated.
Eddie managed to reach Max's body in time to catch it before she hit the floor, and he sped her back to the group.
"Now what?" Eddie demanded, clearly frustrated that Vecna had got away.
"Well.. after that, I reckon he's gone back to his hell hole to lick his wounds and re think his next steps" Hopper half heartedly laughed, "but we stay together. He will pick us off one by one if we're alone."
"We need to get max back to the hospital!" Lucas cried.
"We can't... she needs to stay with us. If we leave her, she vulnerable to Vecna again, I'll call in some shots... a guy owes me a favour" Hopper stated.
He was going to get the right hospital equipment to keep her going in Mikes basement.
You all rushed over and bundled into the cars again. The mood was somber. What now?
