FIFTEEN

Zahra Bailey woke up in the early morning besides a man that she did not immediately recognise, since she had gone out drinking with Sebastian, Daniel and some other drivers the night before.

The white sheets of the bed she was laying in were softly covering her body with the man's arm wrapped over her waist. His breathing was slow and steady which signalled that he was asleep.

She reached for her phone which had been thrown on to the side table beside the bed in the room that she was in, which was definitely not her own.

She desperately unlocked her phone, before snapping a quick photo of the man's face and sent it to her best friend, hoping that she knew who she had hooked up with.

Less than five minutes later, Larissa had pulled up outside the hotel that held the location of her best friend and waited for less than 10 seconds before she caught sight of her best friend running out of the lobby of the hotel.

The door opened and closed rapidly as Larissa sped away, her foot to the floor of her car which was coincidentally, a Mercedes.

"Water is the glove box." Larissa spoke, handing her a pill without question. "Take this, just in case."

Zahra nodded immediately, grabbing the water bottle and gulping it down as soon as she had placed the pill in her mouth.

"You're mad at me, aren't you?" Zahra spoke shyly to her best friend as they pulled up somewhere that wasn't her best friends hotel.

"No. What food do you want? You need breakfast." Larissa spoke as she arrived at a drive thru restaurant. Zahra stared at her in surprise before speaking and ordering.

"You're not mad?"

Larissa shrugged as she sipped on her drink. "Why would I be mad?"

Zahra gulped. "I mean, the whole Ferrari thing, and then having to pick me up, surely you've got to be mad at me?"

Larissa shook her head with a small smile. "I'm not happy about the Ferrari thing, but I'm not mad. As for today, I don't care, what I care about is that you're safe and unhurt."

The Brazilian turned to face her best friend with a raised eyebrow. "How can I be mad at you, when you've risked your own life to save mine, multiple times on track?"

Zahra's eyes filled with tears as she breathed a sigh of relief. "I swear, I'll never try and force you to go to Ferrari again."

"You better not, or I'll show Valterri all your embarrassing photos." Larissa smirked as Zahra gasped before the pair burst in to laughter.

"I will never want to go anywhere near Ferrari, Z. They took my whole life from me when they sent my dad out knowing that the brakes were not working." Larissa admitted once the laughter had died down.
