THIRTY FOUR
TRIGGER WARNING: MENTIONS OF ATTEMPTED SUICIDE
"DADDY!" Larissa screamed, tears flooding down her cheeks as the dam had broken.
She saw her fathers head move from within the flames, she knew.
Their eyes met, sadness staring at each other for less than a second, before it all came crashing down.
BOOM!
"Shit shit shit shit shit!"
Larissa Cohen screamed as she felt her body growing warmer as she remained stuck inside of her burning vehicle.
Bright burning orange flames licked at her skin, which thankfully was covered with fireproof gloves and a suit.
However, it wouldn't remain fireproof for much longer, since they were not designed to protect her body forever.
This was different to her father's crash.
Nobody was coming to rescue her.
She tried to move her body, managing to unclip what was left of her seat belt before she allowed herself more room to move.
She didn't have the space that she needed, even with her small frame five foot two body. She just couldn't get out.
She was dying.
Exactly like her father did.
Her mind flashed to her brother, Mick, who she knew would be crying hysterically in her garage since he had come to support her for his home race.
She thought of Zahra, who would either be screaming in Toto's arms as she sobbed or running in her seven inch heels on the track to try and help her.
She thought of Lucy, who she knew would be crying in her garage about losing both of the Cohen's in exactly the same way.
She thought of Gina, who hadn't been able to join them, who would be watching it live on the television with her heart in her mouth as to whether her best friend would be getting out alive or not.
She thought of her Uncle Michael, who always watched her races on the television because he was unable to watch her race in person, knowing that he would be crying about losing his niece and not being able to do anything about it.
She thought of her Uncle Sebby who had crashed out in his home Grand Prix, who she knew would be trying to reach her but due to the flames that had engulfed the car that he would held back from trying to get to her.
He would be losing his niece just like he lost his mentor and best friend.
She thought about Kimi, Fernando and Lewis who would have been told over the radio that she had crashed and that there was no sign of her moving or being out of the vehicle and she knew that they would be terrified about losing their Larissa.
She thought about Daniel who she knew had also retired from the race, who would be watching it from his garage, getting flashbacks of not only the death of his idol, Luiz, but also his best friend Jules.
She thought of Charles who she knew would also be terrified of losing her the same way that he too lost his idol and Jules who was his godfather.
She thought of her team mate Pierre would be wanting to get to her to help her, since she was known as his best friend. The person that he relied on no matter what.
She thought of Lando, of George, of Alex, of Anthoine, of Yuki and Nicholas. She thought of Arthur, Antonio, Jenson and Mark. She thought of both of her Nico's, Hulkenberg and Rosberg.
