THIRTY FIVE

André Santos woke up tied to a chair.

In his own warehouse.

It was a metal chair, since he could feel the coldness of the steel against his back, having been stripped of his jacket.

He noticed that his shirt was soaked and damp from water, most likely because he would have been sprayed down with a hose pipe.

He also noticed that he was tied down to the chair by large and thick metal chains, ones very similar to the chains that he had used to chain the door of the warehouse closed.

It was pitch black, not a drop of light anywhere throughout the warehouse, and as he squinted his eyes in an attempt to look around for his kidnapper, he found nothing.

"Do you know why you're here, old man?"

A cold voice sounded behind him as a light was switched on, which was placed right in front of his face, almost blinding him.

"If you want my plane, you'll have to fight me for it." André chuckled, not recognising the voice.

"If I wanted your plane, I would hotwire and steal it. This, is about your son in law."  The voice sneered in to his ear, their breath making the hair on the back on his neck stand on edge.

"I loved my son in law like he was my own son. I miss him every single day that he is not with us." André attempted to sound sad in order to make his kidnapper believe him.

"Don't lie to me, old man. I currently have a metal bar aimed at the exact part of your head where it's the exact spot, in which it only takes one single hit to the head for death, and I am not afraid to take your evil life out of this world."

"Like I did with Luiz, huh?" André began to laugh maniacally.

"Like I almost did with my bitch of a granddaughter." André smirked, since he had been able to fool his way in to becoming her mechanic.

"ENOUGH!"

The metal bar that was aimed at his head moved to his knee, coming down hard to hit it, causing the man to scream out in pain as the bone in his knee broke immediately.

"I will break your other knee if you do not tell me, what the hell did you do to Luiz Cohen?"

Andre's eyes widened as the figure of his kidnapper appeared in front of him, recognising their face from having seen them around the paddock a lot.

"Zahra?"

"Never do that to me again, you hear me?"

Daniel Ricciardo entered his best friends hospital room with a concerned look stitched on to his face.

Larissa Cohen pushed herself up from her hospital bed upon seeing him, before she began to start climbing out of it, to stand on to her feet so that she could hug the Australian man before her.

"I'm so sorry Danny." Larissa apologised to him, seeing that his eyes were glassy.  "It wasn't deliberate, but I'll try my best not to do it again, I promise."

Daniel's arms outstretched towards his best friend, as the Brazilian watched tears slowly leaving his glassy eyes, no matter how much he had tried to hold them back.

Larissa released a deep sigh, her shoulders sagging in realisation. "You had flashbacks of Jules' crash, didn't you?"

Daniel nodded his head before he spoke, his voice breaking. "And your dad's. I thought that I was losing both of my best friends, Lara. I can't lose you, I've already lost Jules, I can't lose you too."
