Our Grey World

Chapter 19

I rush to the place and find Aiden waiting for me at the entrance. "What is it Aiden?" I ask.

"Well, there's one good news and one bad news." he continues "We've lost Jack[name can be changed]. He ended dehydrating himself to death but we found water on Onocentaur."

I had mixed feelings at first. We all grieve the loss of Jack for a few minutes.

Water on Onocentaur could open so may possibilities. We could eventually live there. It could be so much better than Nedroj too. I ask the team for more details.

"Apparently, it is a fresh water body." Arkan says cheerfully.

"Could there possibly be any aliens?" Mark wonders.

"Well, were about to find that out in a few days."

I spoke to the astronauts and they seemed to move on pretty well from Jack's demise and were as excited to see water on Onocentaur as the team on Earth was.

I go home, excited to make new plans for Onocentaur spaceships. I tell the news to the twins and to Ash. "Let's start now!" Ash says excitedly.

"Right now?" I ask being a little tired.

"Yes!" her enthusiasm makes me want to join.

"Have you heard about what happened to planet Earth?" she asks as we take a seat. I look at her with confusion. "Earth has slowly recovered and plants are starting to take over abandoned cities. Animals are being seen again. Earth is healing."  

"Could we possibly go back...?" I murmur to myself.

"Huh?"

"Oh nothing"

"I mean, we could try.." she says.

"What?"

"Going back to Earth, you mentioned, right?"

"Oh yeah but I don't want it to end up like the Grey World it was again." I say.

"Well, somebody is going to try to go back to Earth sooner or later and they might not always have the best motive." she explains. "It is better we try going to Earth first and not allow any of that to happen."

I think about for a while. "That makes sense. We could launch a space ship to Earth and it'll all be a secret mission."

"There you go"

I, still being tired, rush back to the team along with Ashley.
