I was very... anxious to have her arrive. My eyes were darting to my watch or wall clocks, the computer clock, I couldn't' stop myself. I was in my office, stepping out, knowing she'd arrive soon.

"Robin, I have a guest, Phoenix Flynn, she'll be arriving soon."

My housekeeper nodded, knowing to get the door since I'd be on a work call. I started in my office, but I kept pacing around, so angry by what I was told. I was staring out at the city through my large floor to ceiling window in my living room.

"No. You know damn well that is not how my business is run. I don't' give a flying fuck James. You sell it. You recycle it. It's done it's over. I will not keep a dying limb attached to this business, cut it off." I hung up, staring out at the window.

"Rage." I turned at the sound of her voice.

My eyes fell on her, she looked... cute. She wore a pair of colored teal skinny jeans and a white sweater that could be seen from her unbuttoned jacket. Her eyes were large as always, bright, locked onto me. She had her lips parted, almost seeming intimidated by me. I felt.... My body unwound a bit at her very presence. I wondered if she knew the effect she had on me, if she knew how much chaos she was causing internally.

"You look beautiful today Phoenix."

"Thank you, you appear stressed."

"Very," I rubbed my face. "I have to go to my office; I'll be out as soon as I can." She nodded and I walked off, heading to my office. I needed to call James back, a department head who was trying to save something that just wasn't worth it. It was a computer program we were looking into furthering, and it was awful. I knew it; the market would have no use for it. He was putting up a fight. He just tricked me into investing; I honestly believed he fucked with the numbers on me. He was a money grubber, and that's all he wanted to do. It was getting to the point where I was just going to sell it off and shut it down, that way he'd lose out on his share. I was fighting with him on it for some time, when I heard music notes fill my house. I peered around the corner of the hall, listening to him rant, when I saw her at my piano. It had never once been used.

"I'll call you back." I hung up, putting the phone on vibrate. I stood, for a very long time, watching her play, she finally stopped. My house had been full of sound, which never happened.

"You are an excellent pianist."

She jumped a bit. "Why thank you, your turn."

"I don't know how to play. It came with the house."

"You can't play?" I shook my head. "Come on," she tapped on the piano bench. I was surprised, but did as she asked and sat beside her. She placed my hands over the keys. 'Start with this one.' She pointed to my index finger. I played the note, and then she guided my hands, moving them around. She did this often, moving them a few times. She let me do it myself. "You played a chunk of Someone like You by Adele, good job."

"Where did you learn how to play?"

"My dad,"

"Right, he played piano. You're full of surprises."

"Oh?"

"Yes, you appear to be that way. I'm sorry; a business that I stupidly, against my better judgment, partnered in is pissing me off. I am cutting it out, liquidating it all and selling it off piece by piece."

"Why are you doing this?"

"Well, it's bleeding some money, not too much but I don't care to lose any more than I need to. Then my partner is annoying as sin, I want to fuck with him like he tried to fuck with me if I'm being honest."
