"My little praetor"

Thalia's P.O.V

I walked into the camp with my head held high. I had a date tonight and I wasn't about to be late. Reyna has agreed to meet me at the top of halfblood hill, but I came early so she hadn't gotten there yet. I was almost to the bottom of the hill when Reyna's dark hair caught my attention. She was just leaving the pavilion, so I changed my course to meet her.

"Hey, you ready?" I asked, spooking her a bit.

Reyna turned around, smiling after recognizing me. "Almost. I've just got to do something with my hair."

"It's perfect the way it is." I played with some of the strands that had fallen out of her braid.

Reyna rolled her eyes. "You have to say that, it's your job as my girlfriend."

"Is it, now? Then why haven't you ever commented on my hair?" I teased.

Reyna shoved me before replying. "Because you never change your hair! It's always exactly the same."

"What am I supposed to do with it? It's too short to put into a braid or bun." I explained.

Reyna pulled out her braid and slipped the elastic onto her wrist before swiftly pulling my hair into the tiniest ponytail ever. "There, now it's different."

"Are you happy now?" I grumbled as she nodded and slipped her hand into mine. We filled the short walk to the lake with smiles and laughter. I gasped at the picnic that had been set up.

"You did this for me?"

Reyna snorted. "No, it's for my other girlfriend. Of course it's for you!"

I smiled and made my way towards the blanket. "When did you set this up?"

"I got Percy and Annabeth to help before we went to dinner." She explained.

I sighed. "You let seaweed brain help set it up?" I thought for a second as she passed me a sandwich. "Although, choosing Annabeth to help was pretty smart."

She took a bite before speaking. "I am the praetor or new Rome, I've got to make smart decisions."

"You're my little praetor." I teased as I pecked her on the cheek.

The rest of the night was perfect. We even shared a slice of cheesecake for dessert. Although Percy came by to clean up our plates and ended up getting shoved into the water, my favourite moment was the kiss Reyna and I shared while he was underwater. A perfect end to a perfect night with my little praetor.
