It had been five weeks since izuku had moved in with Keigo, five weeks since he was officially adopted, four weeks since he started training, two weeks since shinsou started to join them for training and he still hadn't been able to use his quirk or fly!

Izuku knew it would take a while, he knew he had to get his muscles bulked up, especially his shoulder and pectoral muscles if he wanted to learn how to fly, he needed to focus if he wanted to use his quirk instead of waiting for himself to lose control again but he was so impatient!

He was honestly envious of how easily shinsou managed his quirk, all he needed to do was ask a question, and boom! He was done. But things have never been fair to izuku.

But when did that stop him?

"Alright, little terror let's do this!"

Keigo chirped with a sharp grin that made Izuku's spine tingle.

Miriko (oh my god Mirko!) had started to come by every once in a while to train the two of them in hand-to-hand along with Keigo, right now she was training with shinsou, refining his fighting style and giving pointer tips on how he could better himself (Heaven knows the boy needs it with how much he relies on his quirk) so that left Keigo with him.

"We're gonna get you to fly today" Keigo's wings fluttered in excitement which inevitably rubbed off on izuku "yeah!" the dragon couldn't help but trill in giddy excitement, his tail thumping on the ground as it wagged.

"First we stretch?" Izuku nodded his head and summoned his wings, following the motions Keigo did, stretching his legs, arms, back, and shoulders. "Now, remember the motions I first taught you?" izuku nodded and proceeded to move his wings, first shifting and flexing the muscles on the base of his wings where they met his back before opening and closing his wings as a warm-up, to make sure his wings didn't stiffen up while training.

"Nice baby bird! Now try and copy me" Izuku watched as Keigo began to flap his wings slowly, much like a smooth sweeping motion, soon izuku followed after, although he looked more like he was frantically slapping his wings than sweeping them.

Keigo laughed "not like that kid, slow down and just take your time, try and pick up the wind under your wings" izuku furrowed his brows and slowed his pace, once he did he could see a drastic change in the air around them, dust began to bloom around them and izuku could barely feel his feet leaving the ground.

"You're doing great! Now try and put some energy into the flaps" Keigo proceeded to demonstrate by giving a few stronger flaps, and he began to slowly rise in the air, a few loose feathers floating to the ground.

Izuku nodded and started to slowly and shakily rise off the ground, he couldn't help but let out a surprised laugh as he watched his feet leave the ground "good! You're doing awesome! Just focus on getting used to the feeling" Keigo encouraged Izuku who was more focussed on trying not to faceplant on the ground.

After a while, Izuku got the hang of hovering and was surprisingly barely even winded, eventually izuku lowered back to the ground with the widest grin on his face, Keigo lightheartedly rolled his eyes with a fond chuckle "alright, let's try flying around, feel free to go as fast as you want, just be careful" he said the last part sternly and Izuku gave a fast nod practically vibrating with giddy excitement.
