Yoohyeon's POV
"What is this Yoohyeon? These are rejects, can't you read??" I lowered my head. My Dad threw the papers in front of me and making it scattered on the floor.
"Do you realized how much time you've wasted by not double checking your work?? QUALITY YOOHYEON. QUALITY. These papers are worth millions and you decided to half assed it?!" My Dad shouted at me. I looked at the papers I spent months on making scattered on the floor before replying,
"I was busy overthinking it and I—" he interrupted me, "Did I asked you a question? When I hand you paper works I want the BEST quality, this company has always been know for its quality and here you are ruining it!" My Dad shouted disappointingly. I felt my cheeks getting hotter.
"I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS! I never wanna take over this stupid business of yours anyways" I snapped, he stood up before and warning me to tone it down.
"YOU better shut your mouth now"
"I just wanna live a simple life. Like MOM, like my sister!" I shouted, he slammed his palms on the desk again.
"Oh yea? How about I disown you then? You're nothing without me Kim Yoohyeon. So, I suggest you leave this room now before I disown you ungrateful child" I scoffed before leaving the room and walking out of the building to the parking lot.
I put my hands on my hips before exhaling loudly and kicking the vending machine by the elevator. I went inside my car and dialed my sister, Sua.
"Yooh? Something wrong?" I didn't respond.
"hey" she calls again, I sighed.
"Can I live with you? I promise I'll bust my ass and work at your restaurant just.. take me away from here.. please" I pleaded.
"Did something happen? You know I can't do that Yooh.. He can destroy us in minutes" I sighed. It's true, our Dad is capable of doing that. I've seen him do it, it's horrible.
"Just.. hang in there, build yourself and until you're ready.. leave. I'll be here for you. But not now.. I know it's hard and we only have each other but you have to be strong, ok?" I sobbed. Our Mom passed a couple of years ago, Sua-unnie suffered a lot after getting kicked out by our own Father. I was young then so our Dad kept me.
"Hmm.. Thank you unnie, I'm also here if you need someone" I said before hanging up and wiping the single tear that came out of my eye.

Jiu's POV
Another day, another stupid customer. Don't get me wrong. There are customers that will make your day but there are those that will ruin it. I sighed while tugging in my jacket to warm me from this cold winter freezing breeze.
I unlocked the door to my apartment, I saw my roommate Siyeon watching some movie in the living room. She greeted me, I did the same.
"How was work?" She asked while lowering the volume of the TV.
"Exhausting. It's never different" I complained before putting on house slippers.
"Maybe try finding other jobs?" She suggested, I shrugged.
"Tip is good on this one" I replied, she nodded before offering me her snacks.
"Oh hey! Your suitor dropped by" I rolled my eyes at the mention of my suitor.
"He's a nice person, Minji" Siyeon said. I ignored.
"I know" I replied, "It won't hurt to se—" I interrupted her.
"Again.. I can't be focusing on love while my family struggle back home. I have my priorities and love is at the very bottom sadly" I said defensively. Siyeon raised her eyebrows at me before nodding and going back to watching her movie.
"Fine" she pouted. I ignored it.
I felt my phone vibrated inside my jean pocket, I grabbed it and answered the caller.
"Minji-ah? How are you?" I winced at the sound of my Mother's tired voice. I almost sob.
"Eomma? I'm fine, thank you. How about you guys over.. there?" I struggled to keep my emotions in, soon enough I felt my cheeks getting wet. Siyeon noticed and gave me a sad look.
"Are you eating healthy foods? Minji-ah.. I'm sorry but w-we need a few cash for your Father's medicine. He's getting worse minute by minute. I was wondering you have an extra.." I frowned, as tears keeps falling down on my cheeks.
"O-oh.. I'll see what I can do Mom, ok? I don't get paid until this Friday.. I'll send some as soon as I get my pay check" I replied softly trying to sound like I wasn't crying over the phone.
"I'm sorry, Minji-ah.. I know you're struggling enough over there and yet you still have to worry about us over here" her mom apologized sadly, "it's fine, Mom. Please take care of yourself and Dad"
Mom ended the call, I felt Siyeon still staring at me, I faced her before smiling and telling her that I'm fine and strong. She gave me a sympathetic smile before hugging me tight. I sobbed for a good amount of minutes before going to my room and sleep.
