Chapter 27

Yoohyeon's POV

I drove away sadly from Minji's apartment. I arrived at the company before walking inside and seeing Gahyeon looking at me worriedly. I nodded at her.

"Unnie.. Mr. Kim asked for you, he's inside his office" I nodded before going straight to my father's office.

"Is that you? Yoohyeon?" He asked before turning his chair around and slamming the desk really hard causing me to fully wake up.

"You! You've been slacking again lately. I know the girl, Yoohyeon-ah. Aren't you familiar with what I can do?!" I frowned before narrowing my eyes at him while clenching my fists.

"Don't you dare" I warned him.

"What can you do?" He scoffed.

"Huh?! You're nothing without me, Yoohyeon. We both know that. You're stuck here. So leave the girl and nothing will happen" I closed my eyes while biting the inside of my cheeks.

"I'm so fucking tired of this! Are you.. are you still my Dad?? Are you..? I'm having such a hard time right now and all you could think about is the company?? I'm not your puppet Dad. I can't do this anymore. Please.." I hated myself for begging but I'm tired..

I kneeled in front of him, I saw his surprised expression. I started crying helplessly in front of him.

"Get up. Get up, Kim Yoohyeon" I just cried even louder.

"Fine.. disown me.. do it.. I don't care anymore. She doesn't seem to be coming back to me anyways. I've nothing to lose anymore" I said before standing up and walking away.

"Get back here!" I heard him shouted. I looked back.

"From now on, I'm not your daughter. You have no more daughters. You killed them. You.. I hope you're happy" I said before slamming the door.

I wiped my tears away while walking and bumping into Taehyung. I glanced at him with no expression before walking past him.

"Unnie! Wait!" I heard Gahyeon running after me. I ran towards my car and driving to wherever my feet take me.

I parked my car on the side before sitting in front of my mom's tombstone and crying loudly.

"I miss you Mom.."

"All I want is to love happily and free.. why.. why can't I have that?.. why does Dad have to turned out to be like that?? I.. I can't take it anymore.. I'm sick of it" I sniffed.

"I hurted the person I love the most because of my insecurities and because I'm a fucking coward. I let all of that happen when I could've done this way earlier. I'm so dumb, Mom. I don't know what to do.. help me.. I dragged Bora unnie too" I cried even louder, whimpering like there's no tomorrow.

"I love her, Mom.. She loved me too but I fucked up and now.. now she's gone. I want her back.. I'll do anything just to get her back.." I felt a hand on my shoulder. I stopped crying before looking back and seeing Bora unnie looking at me worriedly.

"I knew you'd be here" She said. I cried before hugging her waist.

"I'm sorry unnie.." She patted my head.

"Shh.. Mom wouldn't want to see you crying like this, so stop that okay? It's fine, Yooh.. Stop crying. Minji texted me, she was asking for you. I don't wanna give you hope but I also want to tell you that she still cares, okay? Now, get up" I calmed down before wiping my tears.

"W-what about you and Siyeon-unnie? Are you guys fine now? Did you tell her yet?" She nodded.

"Yes, I told her. She was very furious at first but she understood anyways" I nodded before looking away.

"I'm scared.. I.. I miss her, she's my happiness. She's my serenity and now she's gone, I don't know what to do.. She's also probably so annoyed at me for bothering her all the time.." She looked at me while listening to my rant.

"Of course she's not. Look.. she's mad because you didn't trust her but it's only been a month Yooh.. Time. All she needed was time and space. Who knows, maybe she's not only hurting because of the fact that you didn't trust her but also because she's seeing you like this" I looked away.

"Do you get me? So, take care of yourself and be patient.. That night she figured out we were sisters, She told Dami she was ready to forgive you.. So please.. be strong and wait for her" I sniffed before nodding.

"Let's go back to your condo. You need to take a rest" I nodded before walking to my car and driving back to the condo.

We've arrived. My sister checked the pantry before looking at me disappointingly. I shrugged before going inside the restroom and taking a shower.

I frowned after seeing Minji's toiletries still here. I miss you so much. I sighed before continued showering before getting dress and walking to the dining area and finding my sister talking to someone on the phone.

She motioned me to eat, I looked at the stove and found that she cooked Samgyetang. I nodded before serving myself.

I sat across to her before eating quietly while listening to their conversation. I looked up immediately after hearing Minji's voice. She looked up at me.

"Yea.. she's eating across from me" I heard my sister said. I raised my eyebrows at her.

"Do you.. wanna speak with her?" I heard my sister asked. I stopped eating hoping that she'll say yes.

"Ah.. ok.. alright then, yea. Bye! I'll see you later babe. I love you" I frowned before continued eating. Of course.. time.. and space.. be patient Yoohyeon-ah.

"Yah.. don't be sad, she rejected because she have work tonight. I'm sure she'll talk to you soon, ok?" I nodded.

"It's fine.." I replied quietly.

"So.. you left the company?" I nodded.

"Can I work with you..?" She gave me a look.

"Of course! You're always welcome! Work for me as the Marketing Manager. That's where you're good at, right?" I smiled before nodding.

"Thank you" I said she smiled at me before patting my shoulder.

"Yoohyeon-ah, you'll be fine alone right? I have to go to Siyeon's now. Please.. please call me if something's wrong ok?" I gave her a smile before nodding at her.

"Of course, unnie. Thank you" I said before walking her to the door.

I closed the door before grabbing my severely cracked phone and looking to see if I received any text from Minji. I received one!

I smiled before replying and waiting for her call.
