"Miss Belos, you cannot expel my son. He is one of the student council officers, he has his responsibility in Sulvan University."  Masamang timpla ang ipinako ni Senator Timothy Reyes.

"Then I'll take his position away and give it to someone else. There are so many capable students here in Sulvan, not only your son." Kalma ngunit madiin kung banggit sa kanya.

Why can't he understand? His son is nothing but a pests in this university.

"Look miss Belos, what my son did to you was never been a big deal I can-"

"You can what?"

Agad kong tinungo ang upuan nya at deretsong tinignan ito sa mga mata.

"I can pay you double, Miss Belos and I want you to clear my son's name in this university." Sambit nya, iniiwasan ang mga titig ko.

"I know you're only doing this because masisira ang reputasyon mo bilang isang presidential candidate, am I right Reyes?"

He didn't reply. He's avoiding my glares.

"Your son was disrespectful and I don't need your filthy money senator because I already have tons of those in my bank account. I can give you my black card if you want. Ako pa mismo ang magbibigay ng pera sayo para manahimik na yang bunganga mo." Kalmado ngunit may halong galit ang mga salitang binibitawan ko sa kanya.

Is he scaring me? He's a jerk head for believing that he can lure me with his damn ass money. I am way richer than him, I can even give him money para bumili ito ng bagong anak.

Agad namang umalis ang senator at di na muling nagsalita. Truth hurts right Senator Timothy Reyes?

"Ma'am."

Bumungad si Joven ang personal driver at guard ko. Sa lahat ng binigay ni Dad sa akin ay sya lang ang tanging mapagkatiwalaan ko. He's trustworthy kahit may edad na si Uncle Joven ay malakas parin ito.

"The Dean wants to have a word with you."

I shook my head. "Tell her I am tired."

"But ma'am, I already told her that you're coming."

I left out a heavy sigh at agad namang inayos ang sout kong woman tux and black formal skirt. Tumayo ako, because of my high heels ay nadagdagan ang height ko.

I can hear my high heels creating sound against the University floor. Every student will fear me and show some respect that I truly deserve. I am on my way to the Dean's office pero I need to walk through the hallway para imonitor kung may mga studyanteng gumagawa ng hindi karapat-dapat, if I see one student making the same mistake, then they are automatically expelled from Sulvan University.

I already reached my destination and immediately opened the Dean's door, nakita ko ang isang matandang babae na nakaupo sa black swivel chair. She felt my presence kaya agad itong tumingin sa akin.

"Here you are my daughter."

Tumango ako at bumuntong hininga. "Mom, what is it this time?"

"I'll get to the point, iha."

Is this about my confrontation with Senator Timothy Reyes?

"May malubha akong karamdaman." Her tone is mixed with over dramatic rhythm.

"Mom, the doctor just said that you're perfectly fine." I sigh and sit down to her long color red sofa.

"Iha, kailangan ko na ng apo. Yan lang ang hinihingi ko sayo, bigyan mo na ang mommy mo. I'm not getting any younger, Cassandra."

Napangiwi akong pinagmasdan ang Mama ko. This happened way many times already and I'm getting used to her nagging.

"Mom, I don't even have someone in mind and I'm not a plant to produce offspring asexually." Irap ko sa ina.

Silence came into the room bago sya nagsalita.

"Anak, don't tell me..."

"What?"

"You're a lesbian?" Gulat nyang usal.

Halos mabulunan naman ako sa sariling laway.

"Mom! What, no! Of course not!" Despensa ko naman agad.

"Why not? LGBTQ couples have the rights to show thier relationship in public. I don't think it's wrong, the only thing that's stopping them is the prejudice that society is spouting against them." Mahabang explanation ng mama ko.

"Mom, I don't hate them and I'm not homophobic. But kahit baliktarin man ang mundo, I will remain as a straight woman." I replied.

Tumango naman si Mama. "Btw, the reason why I called you here because there was a student who enrolled and she was asking if there's a vacant slot for scholarship."

"We already don't have any slots anymore." Aniko habang may ginagawa sa aking MacBook.

"That's why I am asking you to be her sponsor instead!" Masayang bati ni Mama.

Gulat na napatayo ako habang kunot noong tinignan ang Ina. Why me? Kung pwede naman si Senator Peterson.

"What!? Mom, why me?"

"Anak, you're rich enough to be her sponsor. And also, it would be a waste to lose someone like her."

"Why?" Is she really that important that she can please my mother like this?

"She's a valedictorian in south Korea university. I saw her report card, good feedback, athletic and a clever one." Seryosong sambit ni mama. "She even got the perfect score for scholarship exam."

Tumalikod ito, meron syang kinuhang brown folder sa table nya at inilapag sa table na nasa harapan ko.

"That's why we can't lose someone like her, she herself can bring a good reputation in Sulvan University. Please give her a chance, Cassy. She's worth it."

Nagmamakaawang tumigin si Mama sa akin. She's being dramatic again. Looks like I don't have a choice naman.

I left out a heavy sigh and looks back at my over dramatic mother.

"Fine. Inform her about my sponsorship and she better not disappoint me."

I didn't wait for her reply, kinuha ko na agad ang brown folder na nakalapag sa table at tinawagan si Manong Joven.

"I'm inside the car, Ma'am." Sagot nito sa kabilang linya.

Agad akong pumasok sa kotse at hinilot ang sentido. Mom's giving me headache, is this a sigh of aging? Of course it is, she's getting old that's why she was asking me about having children and settling down.

I was inside the car when I opened the brown folder.

My eyes widen when I got to see her face picture. Kahit madilim at lasing ako noon, I know this face, every details of her face, it's all coming back to me. She's the one who helped me noong lasing akong lumabas sa Club. All of this information, I'm sure of it.

It's her.

And I hate it.

I began to close my eyes when I felt something strange building up inside my chest.

It's comforting.....ugh.
