"I am Irene Baron, a replacement of Miss Cassandra Lundy Belos. I know you all are aware by the Dean's announcement about Miss Cassy's sudden resignation of this position. So nice to meet you all class." Professor Irene said with a smile.

"Hala sya, ang ganda ni ma'am Irene. Lumaki daw yan sa america."

"Oo beh, alam ko. Halatang mayaman talaga."

"She looks like a celebrity up close."

"And she's so hot too. I can't believe that our professors are so hot. Omg."

Ibat-ibang bulong ng mga kaklase ko. Nag iwas ako ng tingin at binalingan nalang ang bintana sa gilid. I'm so stressed right now, her disappearance caused a big impact to me. Nawalan na ako ng ganang pumasok sa loob ng klase..

Especially when it's supposed to be her subject.

Her flight was yesterday and I was there. Gusto gusto ko talagang sumama at pigilan syang umalis. I really don't want her to go, I want her to stay here. Napakahilot ako sa mukha, I'm so in bad shape and mind right now. Ang bigat pala sa pakiramdam shuta! Seeing her private jet fly off hurts me, I'm scared at the thought na di na sya babalik, or kailan pa ito babalik ng di ko alam. I'm so scared and I don't want her to go. But I know she has to do first, it's still in her priority. That's why I have to study hard para kaya ko na ang sarili ko, when I don't have to rely on her anymore.

Nagpatuloy sa pagturo si ma'am Irene pero nasa ibang bansa ang utak ko. I feel so drained these past few days. It's so hard to breathe.

An hour passed at nag ring na ang bell. It's lunch time na, nag chat sila Helen na nasa cafeteria na daw ito, Maria Luisa is not here since may ginagawa pa raw sya sa library kaya nauna na sakin sa cafeteria.

I stand up at kinuha ang bag ko, inayos ko ang aking mga gamit at inilagay sa bag Isa-isa.

"Miss Lee,"

I look at ma'am Irene when she called my name.

"Yes po?"

She signaled me na lumapit sa table nya.

"Ma'am Belos also told me na sasabihin ko daw sayo ang tungkol sa scholarship mo." She said.

Tumango ako. "Wala na po ba akong scholarship ma'am?"

She shook her head. "You still have your scholarship kase your tuition is free until the end of the school year and you'll be graduating soon na din. Before she left, she organized things for you para daw makapag aral ka ng maayos."

Tumango ako. I am happy that she did that for me pero mas gustuhin ko pang wala nalang akong scholarship pero nandito parin sya sa classroom na ito.

"Okay, salamat po ma'am." Sagot ko.

Tumango ito.

I went to the door para pumunta na sa cafeteria.

It's lunch time and tapos na kami ng mga kaibigan kong kumain. I only ate a little, nawalan na ako ng gana.

"Beh, huwag kang magmukmok ha? Mahal ang presyo ng beer ngayon, so don't okay?" Sambit ni Teresa.

"Gaga, di umiinom ng alak yan si Subin. Huwag mong itulad sa sarili mong lasingera."  Si Helen

"Subin, bigyan kita ng Goldfish gusto mo?" Si Luisa naman.

I shook my head nalang. Ayokong idamay sila sa kalungkutan ko. I sighed, tumayo ako para kumuha ng tubig.

Pagbalik ko naman ay ala una na kaya napagpasyahan naming bumalik nalang sa klase.

"Shutek! Naghihintay na si ma'am Zoey sa akin sa faculty!" Nagpapanick na sambit ni Teresa.

"Our prayers are with you." Parehong sagot ni Helen at Luisa sa kanya.

May subject ako kay sir Welson at 1:10 pm.

"Dito muna ako guys, magkikita nalang tayo mamaya." Aniko.

They waved back bago lumakad patungo sa mga subjects nila.

Nagsimula ng tumuro si Sir Welson kaya panay naman ang pakikinig ko. At least, this is how I can distract myself from missing her too much. Nilakasan ko ang loob, she will come back. Hindi ko man alam kung kailan pero alam Kong babalik s'ya. Even if it takes a thousand years, aasa ako sa salitang 'babalik siya' kase yan ang panghahawakan ko.

Nagkaroon kami ng short group activity and reporting about sa topic si sir, I got perfect points in my performance pero wala ako sa sarili during reporting.

Finally, sir Welson's class is over. I arranged my things before going out, it's already three pm, maaga kaming pinalabas kase may emergency meeting ang mga professors, kasama kase yan sa announcement kanina.

I walked through myself in the hallway, tahimik na ito kase paniguradong nakalabas na halos lahat ng mga estudyante. I can hear the birds singing, I also like the afternoon view kase may kaonting init ng araw pero alam mong dadating na ang gabi.

Naagaw ang atensyon ko when an office covered in trees are at my sight.

"Room 3." Wala sa sariling bulong ko.

My feet moved on it's own.  My beating heart followed the decision of my mind, my body.

Lumakad ako palapit sa pintoan ng room, I don't know what I did but I knocked before opening the door. I was hoping na she's there, hoping that she stayed but when I opened the door.

She's not there anymore...

Nothing but an empty space. Soulless and super silent. Wala narin ang ibang mga gamit n'ya, her table is still here pero yung book shelf ay wala ng libro..

Wait, I look closer kaya lumapit agad ako. I gently caressed the wooden book shelf at may isang librong naiwan si ma'am.

Kinuha ko ito and it's a science book, ito yung libro na gusto kong kunin pero agad namang napahinto when Red appeared out of nowhere.

It's a book that talked about animals, the branch of Science. ZOOLOGY.

Many questions came into my mind at malakas ang loob ko na she did this on purpose, she left this for me. My body reacted when I touched the cover page of the book. I look behind me, showed the whole room that belongs to someone, someone who's very important to me. Even without her, napakalinis ng room na ito, as if inaalagaan nya talaga ito ng maayos. Napangiti ako sa isipan na yun, she's a clean and organize person. This room used to be amazing but now, the amazing word remains but it's empty now, nothing but an empty place.

Napakahimik ng room 3. The deafening silence proved to me na she's not here anymore. It's not gonna be the same as before.

I slowly opened it. I don't know what came to me but a droplets of tears fall down, the pages were a little wet dahil sa mga luha ko. Di ko na ito pinigilan pa, tuluyan na nga akong umiyak ng walang hikbi. It just hurts so much, when she disappeared but leaving a single book behind. I know na wala itong kahulugan pero nabuhayan ako ng loob na babalik s'ya sa akin.

Maya't maya ay natapos ko ang ilang kabanata ng libro, pero wala akong maintindihan, I can't read properly because my vision is blurry, I can hear my sobs, my cries, para akong batang iniwan ng Ina sa gitna ng palengke.

My phone buzzed. I noticed na kanina pa pala ako chinachat nila Teresa.

I took my phone out para basahin ito isa-isa.

I wiped my tears bago inilagay sa bag ko ang libro. I went outside the room and closed the door.

Makapagtapos ako ng pag-aaral para sa kanya. I don't have any intention of breaking my promise.

Hihintayin ko s'ya.
